Federal Government warns Llithustania and Fairview about Hurricane Peter
The Atlantic Informer - Page 2 Hurricane%20Peter%20-%20Port%20Pierre%202
Pierrian Countryside, near Port Pierre, New Aquitaine.

Blideau, BLD | New Aquitaine
The Federal Authorities sent a letter to the Litusian government about the impacts caused in the West Coast. Nobody, specially the New Aquitanians, were expecting the damages to be this huge. Although the Death Toll was relatively low, there were huge damages on the Northern States - the less prepared ones. The Aquitaine - the only country that had its capital hit - says transportation turned into a nightmare: "We are lucky the Federal HighSpeed Rail lines didn't stop, because our national and state roads are in a total mess" said the Aquitanian President Maximilien Renault. Also, the Aquitanian Government asked for the Federal President to accept the help from Corraile, as the Federation will care more about Port Jefferson, where the situation is critical. The Corrailites have French speaking teams ready to enter Northwest without technical delays.
Veratlantians from Amerion and Port Jefferson were evacuated to St. Melissa - which has fallout shelters - that can be used temporally to this kind of emergency, actually, the Aquitanian authorities admit that Veratlantia was better prepared for the Hurricane than they were. Port Pierre was evacuated about 2 hours before the storm, while Port Jefferson and Amerion were already empty about 4 hours before Peter hit the coastline. The eyes of the Alliance now turns to Fairview and Llithustania, both about to be hit by Hurricane Peter, now at level F4.

Fairview government is glad to see that the Federation is worried about Fairview. The Hurricane Peter is entered in Fairview territory last Tuesday. In this moment we can see a slightly better of the weather conditions but we expect that in the afternoon heavy rains will start. You can see the weather information in the Meteorological Center.

Syldavia and AF prepare to navy exercices
Syldavian ships arrived at Atlantis port this morning.

John Foan -Atlantis, Northern Veratlantia

The Federal Navy is to train and be trained by the Syldavian navy in the next 3 weeks. Syldavia is well-known around here for its mighty navy. The Veratlantean Navy is bigger in number and disposes of some technologies the Syldavians didn't manage to afford, but the Syldavian navy is far more experienced. In fact, the Syldavian navy is not that small if compared to ours, thanks to Syldavia's strong military tradition inherited from the Soviet Age, but we are still bigger, given the populational proportion.

The training will consist of 3 phases: In the first, The Syldavian Navy will simulate an invasion, to be defended by AF. In the second phase, Syldavia will defend a certain position in the Alianta Straight and in the third phase both navies will join together to simulate a D-Day like invasion to a location in the Aquitanese shore.

Besides the military exercise, both navies will be sharing their ultimate acessories, such as radars, soldier utilities (like waterproof backpacks), torpedo detection devices and tatical veichcles. Syldavia and AF are also expected to firm a Military Non-Agression Pact and further Alliances are currently being verified by both countries.

The tripulation of the FNS Blakeway and FVN Liberators, Syldavia's and AF's most powerful battleships, cumprimented themselves on the arrival to Atlantis, with cannonshots, vodka, 'quality fish' and champagne.
AF is also to have exercices with the Galbadian Navy next month.

LOL, we're too poor Wink But our military is stagnant. We won't increase it even if the population double by size.

I think we are half your population in numbers.

The Coalition for the Proliferation of Peace denounces this military exercise as a useless waste of resources that will simply lead to more war. We condemn any future military exercises.

Lower Columbia: A 50 Million people nation
Nations all over AIN congratulate the country for the milestone
The Atlantic Informer - Page 2 Kendall24
Kendall, the capital of Lower Columbia

Lower Columbia joins AF, Shushtrepistaz, Galbadia and Llithustania becoming a 50 million + nation. The Federal Kingdom of Lower Columbia is rapidly increasing its political influence around AIN, being the largest country in territorial extension, among the top 5 most populous and owning a respectable navy, the Federal Kingdom is assuming its position among what some already call, the G7 or G6+1, along with the United Republic of Llithustania, the Socialist Republic of Galbadia, the Republic of Shushtrepistaz, the Atlantic Federation, the Hiigaran United Confederacy and the +1 country, the Socialist Republic of Syldavia.

Known for its solid monarchy, religious faith, and stunning natural views, Lower Columbia doesn't exactly match the modern, liberal, nuclear, and republican Atlantic Federation. However, the Federal Government recognizes that liking it or not, it is going to be of crucial importance to remain in good relations with this Kingdom, as we already lost our space with the Cattalians, and Illuan's - two small, but very influential countries that depend on larger superpowers only when it comes to military.

The Atlantic Informer - Page 2 Old-man1
King Harold IV, of the Northern Veratlantia (Atlantis)
The Atlantic Informer - Page 2 Bring%20Our%20King%20Back
The Atlantic Federation will have to learn a more of an Arcacian way to deal with monachies and conservative republics - colder, formal and international-law based negotiations. The FP Sophia Elisian came out with an interesting point: "The Veratlanteans still have trauma of being once a dictatorial monarchy - we must show the people that it is not how it works in the other countries. 7 out of 20 Veratlantians don't think monarchies are a form of democracy. We must change that view at any cost." In fact, we did have our own monarchy, the Kingdom of Northern Veratlantia, but it was converted into a Crowned Republic in order to join the AF in 1997, and soon the still living King Harold IV became just a figure.

King Harold IV has 4 children: Prince Richard (32), Prince Paul (25), Prince Mark (19) and Princess Melissa (16). Prince Richard is now his voice on the parliament. Elected by the Atlanteans, 2 of the men are governing a state, what shows the will of the people, and best thing: The 2 states under the command of his children - Atlantica and Dexon - are doing extremely well. Together, these 2 states of the NV almost reach the total growth of their French speaking neighbor, the New Aquitaine. In July, the Federal President is to visit Atlantis, and to meet King Harold to discuss the possibility of Atlantis regaining the right to be a Kingdom again.

The Atlantic Informer - Page 2 Exc6img1
Major seaport north of Kendall, the Royal Capital.
Be it a King or a president, the Lower Columbians are doing well. Their economy works, their cities are good places to live and the country just can't stop growing. Pehaps our King Harold can change the Federal Government opinion and we end up stabilishing warmer relations with LC. All we can do now, is to watch, while the Federal Kingdom emerges as one of AIN definitive powers.

Did you make a big announcement? And 67 million isn't a landmark, like 50 million is.
A couple of years ago when the UK reached 60m, it was a news story. Now, when it reached 62m, it was only an online story.

Ministry of Defense warns Federal Government about the Cattalian elections

The Atlantic Informer - Page 2 Flag-2011-1%20%281%29
Mario Giorno, Jennai, Cattala - Atlantic Informer
The Federal Minister of Defense, our dear and well known Alexander, personally called the president, Ms.Elisian, to "warn her of the growing danger rising on the mediterranean". The controversial poster by Il Popolo summoned massive international critisism, but the Cattalians seem not to care, as the polls mark 39% of the voting intentions to Il Popolo, against 40% of the traditional Cattalica Conservatori and just 21% for the Democratic Party, by far, our choice for the Cattalians.
We must remember the Democratic Party lost the elections here, and there was similar repercution all over AIN when the inspired Liberators Party own, with the strong and determined discuss of Sophia Elisian. But if we compare the history of Cattala and the nations of the Greater Veratlantea, the Liberators Party would pretty much stand as the Cattalica Conservatori stands for the Cattalians. Ms.Elisian did improve the country's militarization, but in no moment menaced other countries, nor dispensed diplomacy. The Cattalians in other hand, have gone to a small war with their own neighbors, the Hiigaran Confederacy, which is now being seen as AIN's newest power. All that because of a crashed plane.
The Federation of the already called Elisian Age is the one speeding 52 Billion Pounds to connect Galbadia and Ascadylea through the most varied transport lines, from trains to new airports. Or the one to suspend the visa requirement for the Public Servants from the archipelago, like medics, teachers and military.
Il Popolo in other hand, uses an image of a military exercise between Syldavia and AF to inspire fear and indignation against the Cattalian Monarchy. The party yet promisses large military reforms, nationalizations and even the introduction of some kind of modern socialist economic model for the British-colonised Cattala. Which we obviously doubt is going to work. "The Cattalian problems will stop coming from outside to inside and start coming from inside to outside if Il Popolo wins (...) their economy is certainly going to crash in months, and we are not paying the bill" - said Michael Kral, for our surprise. Even our most successful foreing representative, responsible for stabilishing Excellent Relations with about half of the Alliance, doesn't seem to be happy with the Cattalian elections.
The destiny of Cattala is definetely to be decided. And that cake is not smelling good.
