Travel Advisory Warning v2 Empty Travel Advisory Warning v2

Post by ForthWall 13th March 2011, 18:57

The Travel Advisory Warning, or TAW, is a warning system to warn the people about travelling to the affected countries. A country can be classified into more than one Alert depending on the severity of the situation.

:!: Disaster Zone
Travel Alert - be wary and watch local news
Minor Alert - AIN advises that you should not travel, unless it is essential, to certain areas of this country
Significant Threat - AIN advises against all but essential travel to this country
Major Threat - AIN advises against any travel at all to this country, contact your embassy for information and consider leaving the country

TAW is divided into four categories: Biological Alert, Civil Disturbance Alert, Weather Alert and Watchlist.

Biological Alert is an Alert for countries experiencing any form of biological trouble, whether in the form of a pandemic (e.g. SARS, 2009 A/H1N1) or in the form of an attack or a biological disaster (e.g. nuclear fallout). People are advised to avoid areas of biological trouble as the nature of such biological trouble can range from controllable to uncontrollable.

Civil Disturbance Alert is an Alert for countries experiencing any form of civil disturbances such as civil riot and international war. People are advised to avoid areas of civil disturbance as the nature of such civil disturbance is quite uncontrollable.

Weather Alert is an Alert for countries experiencing any form of weather disturbance such as tropical cyclones, floods and droughts. People are advised to avoid areas of weather disturbance as the nature of such weather disturbance can range from controllable to uncontrollable. Such weather disturbance can also affect more than one country within a short period of time.

Watchlist is an Alert List for countries that might experience any of the above-mentioned troubles and/or disturbances. People are advised to watchout on such areas of possible troubles and/or disturbances.

The following countries will be under the TAW Alert until further notice:

Biological Alert

Civil Disturbance Alert
Unstable Area
Martazuela: Santa Maria (excluding Paraquéz), Montañas, Fernando

Weather Alert

Watchlist

Note
The Minister of the AIN Department of Education, Safety and Health will place Travel Advisory Warning, or TAW, to affected countries or cities through two methods:
1) Based on events posted on City Journals or announcements made publicly on the AIN forums.
2) Requested either through private messaging or through posted comment on this thread. Request will only be approved upon sufficient reason.

TAW will only be removed or downgraded through the following methods:
1) Based on event updates posted on City Journals or announcements made publicly on the AIN forums.
2) Requested either through private messaging or through posted comment on this thread. Request will only be approved upon sufficient reason.

This thread was remade due to the cramped old thread

Great idea, just a suggestion, you could colour code the countries/areas.

e.g.

Observers aren't really meant to get involved in the Ministries or events like these. So travel advisories and those kind of things won't be applied for observer nations, since you aren't full members of the union. Smile

"I would not call this a major treat to the security of AIN. All this nations have documented and pretty much controled flu. We are worried about Nations that have not still informed of the cases. We advise to move this to green and not create not needed panic. Because most of the nations that are involve control the event, also as said in Minor Alert - AIN advises that you should not travel, unless it is essential, to certain areas of this country.

So we ask that this be moved to green, Minor Alert."

A Flying Ban has been put in place for all Calaréann controlled Airspace. Due to a volcanic Ash cloud currently sitting above Calaré and most of Eastern continental Australia. The ban on all incoming and Outgoing Flights is in effect until further notice, while it is expected the cloud will dissipate within the next 2-3 days.
