Union Address | What is and isn't Double Posting

Hello great members of AIN. Im here to talk today because of unfortunate ban we had to put on a member for 2 days. Double posting. Why is this a rule you might ask? Well as you know websites only have soo much space. The more posts the more space is taken. We understand that double posting happens on accident once in awhile. In this regard admins understand that as well and do give leeway. But in this case of Blakeway he broke the rule 3 times in one week. With 3 warnings. Yet still had the courage to test our luck.

So What Reason Do we enforce this for?

  1. To Keep from reaching our space limit.
  2. To teach to simple edit your first post
  3. To Keep posting more clean and not messy
What is Double Posting?

  1. Making a post then replying after your original post. For Example putting "Minneapolis" Then replying again with "Minneapolis, Minnesota" Thats a double post. And all were asking to just edit the original.
  2. Making a post then replying again with an Emoticon.
What isn't Double Posting?

  1. If your the creator of certain thread you may have to double post under some circumstances. The Admins understand that.
  2. In the City Notebooks section, the creator of the country is allowed to double post cause this is his/hers own thread.
Dont Agree with an Admin Warning?

  1. Simply PM one of the following; Saathoff, Tyler, Peter, or Matt. We will work with you to make sure this was a legit warning.
  2. Also if you want you may take the warning before the AIN High Court to be reviewed.
If Admin was wrong about a Warning

  1. If an admin made a mistake on a warning he or she will be warned.
  2. A second offense will result in a 1 week ban
  3. Third offense will result in a 2 week ban will admin status stripped away from them.
  4. These decisions will be made by the AIN High Court
How will ban work for now on?

  1. All Bans will go through the AIN High Court to be reviewed.
  2. If an Admin was wrong, the offenses are above.
  3. If the member is accused of the certain rule they will have these actions below
If Member Breaks Rule by decision of Court the Following Actions Take place

  1. 1st Warning - Nothing just simply a warning to not double post and edit the original
  2. 2nd Warning - Again Nothing. But admins will keep a close eye on you.
  3. 3rd Warning - 2 Day ban by AIN High Court
  4. 4th Warning - 1 Week ban by AIN High Court
  5. 5th Warning - Membership is terminated by AIN High Court.
Warnings will RESET every month.

I agree.....but we shouldn't count this recent members warnings/bannings on the record since we came out with the rule today.
