Summary of the Second Aleksanian Civil War
(Second Aleksania - KSR War)

A lot of people have been confused about the the recent Aleksanian nuclear detonation, so this is to clear everything up and set the facts strait. So hears how it started:

Republic of Aleksania Attacked By the KSR

aleksfacco wrote:“Today, the Republic of Aleksania was
invaded by an old advisory, the Kadrian Socialist Republic, when they
violated Aleksanian airspace, shot down Aleksania International
Airlines Regional flight 5464 (ATR-42-500) in Aleksanian airspace, and
bombed the Aleksanian city of King John City (on King John’s Island)
killing 50 Aleksanian Citizens, 7 Russian Citizens, including the son
of the Russian ambassador to Aleksania, 5 Fornax Citizens, 3 Tongolian
Citizens, and 1 Tirnlander. With a heavy heart, I
ask Congress to Declare War on the KSR. We will make sure that this is
the last time that the KSR harms the Republic of Aleksania. This attack
was unprovoked and unacceptable, and will not stand unnoticed. In
addition, the KSR is a known violator of human rights and the Geneva
Convention, and is suspected to be harbouring the terrorist masterminds
responsible for the attempted nuclear attacks on Aleksania; as well as
harbouring and supporting other terrorist organizations including Al
Qaida and the GRA. We hope that our fellow Alliance of Independent
Nations member nations will support us also in this war. And I hope
that this war will finally reunite Aleksania for the better. Thank You.”

Chancellor, Republic of Aleksania

Aleksanian Airspace Shut Down

Today, George Kenaborow, the Aleksanian Minister of Defense, announced that the airspace of the Republic of Aleksania is shut down to ALL
non-military traffic. This is a response to the second aircraft shot
down by KSR forces, a Caroline Airways A330-300, on approch to
Liberation International Airport. This ban will be in affect until
furter notice. The Government of Aleksania will be attemting to airlift
any stranded tourists to Nadi International Airport in Fiji under
military escort, where they will be able to find flights home.

KSR Troops Land in North Keiv!

Today,
at approximately 8:15 (am), troops for the Kadrian Socialist Republic
landed just East of the City of North Keiv. At first, they met only
some small resistance from local Police and civilians. Then, at 8:30,
they were attacked by Aleksanian Mil-28 "Havocs" of the Aleksanian 2nd
Army Air Forces Reserve Division, based in Keiv. Soon after, Mil Mi-35
"Hinds" and Mi-26M "Halo's" brought in troops to support the
beleaguered first responders. After an other half hour, Aleksanian T-90
and M-60s of the 1st armored division arrived, along with 3 Russian
Army BMD-2's and a D-30 122mm howitzer, all airdropped. Throughout the
morning, the Aleksanian and Russian troops made a fighting retreat,
loosing the town of North Keiv. When they reached the Keiv Hills
Defense Point, they were reinforced by East Rockcoast. More Soon...

Even more can be found here.

So I hope that somewhat cleared things up.

The intended message of our condemnations is that the victory over the KSR didn't require nuclear weapons. The fact is that the use of a nuclear weapon, however small, will still bring about problems for the residents living there. If I may quote "the place where the bomb was dropped was sparsely populated and within Aleksanian territory", it still poses a threat to the residents living there. Remember that sparsely populated still means people LIVE there.

Also remember that the KSR waged CONVENTIONAL warfare against Aleksania. However brutal it may be, it is still considered converntional warfare, and thus nuclear warfare against them would not be proper and fair. There are rules of war, which all countries have to abide by properly.

Nuclear weapons destroy lives and ruin others. I hope you realise the implications of what that action has had on others and I hope such measures will not be used again in conventional warfare.

Not to mention that radiation doesn't go away anytime soon. Chernobyl is still irradiated. Anyone that lives there has possibility of getting cancer and their offspring could be born with defects. (disabilities, disformities, etc)
