Gorgeous Town!

Welcome back to Brunswick. Today we'll be looking at the southern area of Ontano Island, around the main town of Brunswick. Brunswick lies in the shadow of the mountainous northern town of Aldoak, and is the breadbasket of Cattala. The villages in the area are around 180 years old, and were built by British colonists.







International corporations are everywhere these days.











And to end with, a view of Barnaby Villa at dawn.

Sky Guy: Thank you! I love using the new replies banner... hehe. It's for Simtropolis, but Cattala doesn't get many comments there, so I'm using it here too.

Huston: Thank you! I'm really glad you're visiting Cattala. The fields are part of the SPAM series by SimPeg, I'm not sure they've finished beta testing though. I'm glad you all enjoyed Brunswick - it's one of my favourite areas to work on.

Julien: Thank you for commenting. We may have a region view sometime in 2011 - I'm not happy with the region atm since I haven't constructed the central city, Jennai, yet. Once Jennai is underway we might see a region view.

With regards to city images - Cattala only has one highrise city and that's Jennai, so you won't see many urban areas with skyscrapers. Calora has a CBD though, and you'll be seeing more of that.

cool, but I don't really like skyscrapers in European cities (except in London, cuz they're not that high and well situated) like in Paris, but I do love dense urban areas like in Roma or Venice

There definitely won't be any skyscrapers - Cattala is only home to 2 million people, so there won't be any demand for massive buildings anyway. It's more likely that there will be a lot of midrise areas in Jennai, alongside the occasional taller building. It won't be anything like La Defense, that's for sure.

It's been a while since we visited Brunswick, and now we're moving into the central villages of the area. Unlike Seina in the north, Brunswick is in the middle of the sunniest winters on record, but some cold weather is expected to move in this weekend.















I hope everyone had a great Christmas, and the New Years updates for Cattala are just around the corner...
