Screeners/Reviewers
These people are hired by the government and approved by a board to review teachers
- No Convictions / Minor Convictions
- Must be approved by the board/ministry of education

Teachers/Direct Educators
- No Convictions / Minor Convictions
- Degree in that field of education (Specified by course and nation)
- Must take a teaching test (To see if the teacher is still skilled in that ability)
- Drug Testing

Standardized Testing Act

Basis : Asses students preformance, allow students to pass that grade, or exit out of high school

Breathing Room : Tests can be customized by the government, this is an outline of what should be done

AFT - AIN Finals Tests - Used as a "finals" to determine final grade
- Includes Core Subjects (Primary Language Course (ex. English), Mathamatics, and Science) (Other subjects can be added on by the government)
- Includes Secondary Subjects (set by government)
- Writing Section, and Bubble Choice

AST - AIN Standardized Tests - Used to determine national GPA, etc. (for research and grades (grading is optional))
- Includes Core Subjects (Primary Language Course (ex. English), Mathamatics, and Science) (Other subjects can be added on by the government)
- Includes Secondary Subjects (set by government)
- Bubble Choice

FEE - Final Exit Exam - Exit exam given to 12th grade/final education in high school/etc.
- Includes Core Subjects (Primary Language Course (ex. English), Mathamatics, and Science) (Other subjects can be added on by the government)
- Includes Secondary Subjects (set by government)
- Bubble Choice, Writing, and Oral Examination

Standardized Grading for Tests
All tests will be graded using points

For AST and AFT
The total number of points will be out of 1000 and each section in the tests will have an allocated amount of the 1000

Format
For setting this up, core subjects will count for 75% of the total points, and secondary subjects 25%

Test Scores will be reported in this format :

Example:

For FEE
FE Examinations will be totally up to the government in scoring

FAQ

Why should we have this bill, it should be the nations own decision?
I completely agree with that, but nations should still keep a guideline on how things should work to prevent corruption, or a creation of a disadvantaged population, plus a lot of this stuff is optional

But each country is different in its own way, so it should choose!
Countries are diffrent, but the way kids should be taught should be the same so no one is disadvantaged, plus a lot of this stuff is optional

But I don't want to do some of it
Its 4 proposals, which anyone can freely have an opinion on, and if you don't like one, you can just vote for the other 3

It sucks
Did you read all of it? or did you even wait until I finished?

Arcacia is absolutely against this idea. Education is a sovereign issue and we will accept no interference with curricula.

Fairview disagrees with this, too because each nation government should decide the educational system, also we can not have a unique system for the entire union because countries are different from each others.

Let's see what we can do because I don't agree with some things like the AIN tests, they should be optional, there should be only used to enrich the CURRICULUM.

As I said, they are all modular, and some may be admitted and other not.

And the Testing is just to standardize them so they can be all the same, this will help in international schools, etc.

If I'm correct, they are similar to the British IGCSE, which is similar to a GCSE and is tested all over the world.

Proposal | Education Overhaul and Uniformity Acts Empty Re: Proposal | Education Overhaul and Uniformity Acts

Post by Daniel 19th August 2011, 11:33

Arcacia has very strict testing and has very high standards when it comes to testing international students. We are not about to dumb down our system for the sake of "no child left behind."

If one is not up to Arcacian standards, one does not gain admittance to an Arcacian university.

Standardised tests have proven to do more harm than good in every single arena that has been forced to adopt them.

Arcacia will block this legislation and if it passes, will not adopt, nor recognise it.

Corraile will not amend tests and the education system on the whole solely for the purpose of standardisation of foreign students. We feel that to gain admittance into a local educational institution, one must pass the national standard.

I think it's good for countries that haven't educational system. But for other countries, it's important what they keep them system Wink

That's a good idea, but we shouldn't apply for every Wink
