Uthwenia application for AIN

I applied Uthwenia once before but never got around to participating in union events or activities beforehand and also establishing the nation itself.

So I felt it is appropriate that I should re-apply and try my hand in it again. So here is my application for Uthwenia.

Uthwenia was a rich nation once before the economical collapse that almost sent the nation into total chaos. The reason was the previous Prime Minister had embezzled billions of tax payers money for his own personal use and secret offshore dealings. Once discovered he had fled the country as is currently in hiding. His location is unknown.

On the verge of total collapse, Uthwenia was spared from disaster when the Diesmaran Empire officially announced to help support and reconstruct Uthwenia under its governance while retaining its autonomy as a state by its own rights but now under the governance of the Diesmaran Empire.

It has been over 20 years since then, and Uthwenia still stands firm but the newly elected Prime Minister is not satisfied with the direction Uthwenia is heading in. As he states:

There is no progress whatsoever, no new grand development made by the hands of the Uthwenians. The Diesmarans have saved us before but our continued dependency on them has left us stagnated. We must break out and break free so that we may grow and prosper by our own rights and by our own merits, through our own sweat and labor that we shall then truly be known as true Uthwenians.

His goal is to ultimately with the help of nations and outside sources, that Uthwenia would grow and ultimately be able to diplomatically and economically free itself from its dependency to the Diesmaran Empire.

Currently the Diesmaran Empire, helps sustain and subsidize the economy, and also provides Uthwenia its own military support, in the form of the Arganti Military facility, with the price of zero tax imposed upon imports and exports of goods and tax-free establishments of factories. The biggest contribution of the Diesmaran Empire is the Utwhe Port as seen in the picture above which gives the population 40% of its jobs and is the busiest trade centre in the nation.

That's definately an YES ! from me.

Ok, so before I say yes(which is likely), I need one more thing to lock in my decision. I'm now at the point where I have a set criteria on my approval. My criteria is commitment. We need to know that you can be active(doesnt have to be daily, but atleast participate). We've gotten new members, but some are just not active

So before I can say yes, I need to know that you can be an active member. But lovely city as always

Not sure what you guys meant by this. During the meeting did you guys come to a consensus that COFR members cannot apply here. I apologize if i am not aware of it beforehand since i did not attend the meeting and was unaware of the discussions that took place.

Well aside from said issue as above that i have yet resolved, if i do get into this union, i will most definately participate as much as my time allows me to.

Although... there must be a pretty barren countryside for that large city to exist in a nation of 500,000..

Not really Jacob. 500,000 is only a half million. That could leave for a couple big cized cities. and with big open countrysides. Thats how the Midwest is in America.. Btw congrats on Uthwenia re-joining AIN :aoin:
