Whats Your Verdict Jury?
Re: Takanawa vs. Petrova - SOLVED
Mr. Dan (dont know your last name )
Look I understand. I know this case is for Ms. Takanawa. But were leaving out a major key. Mr. Takanawa. I still don't understand what makes it that he didn't do this? Id like both you and Mr. Reyes to show you evidence that it does or doesn't point and Mr. Takanawa. If you show your evidence we may have a solved case

Perhaps you should direct the following question to the defence: Where was Mr Takanawa when the cookies were being made? Was he in the house? If not, he couldn't possibly have done it.
I have to re-iterate that Mr Takanawa is not the one on trial. If there was any evidence that he was responsible, surely the Director of Public Prosecutions would have brought charges against him, not his wife.
I have already outlined Mrs Takanawas means, motive and opportunity. She had all three. Mr Takanawa may have had equal means, in that he had access to the Tylenol as well, but where was his opportunity? Where was is motive?

Re: Takanawa vs. Petrova - SOLVED
sorry, didnt see this
Your honor, my client, Mrs Takanawa, would like to acknowledge that it was her that put the crushed tylenol tablets into the cookie dough and as she was intending to kill herself and her children. She undersestimated how much is needed to kill her and how much is needed to kill her children.

Re: Takanawa vs. Petrova - SOLVED
Your honor, the point of this case is not whether Mrs. Takanawa committed the crime. The point of this case is whether she should be punished for attempting to kill her family including herself or not be punished as she was just following what any woman would have done back in the simrepublic of japan to regain her family's honor.

Re: Takanawa vs. Petrova - SOLVED
Your Honour, one's belief system does not excuse one of murder. To allow Mrs Takanawa to walk free would send the message that it is okay to kill, so long as one has religious motives. This would essentially mean that terrorists, who usually act out of a religious motives, would have a legal precedent by which to defend themselves.
Mrs Takanawa has admitted to killing her children. She should be punished as a murderer, not lauded as a martyr.

I hear by find Mrs. Takanawa guilty as charged.
The Jail Sentence is as follows:
Life Sentence. Mrs. Takanawa must serve at least 2/3 of the sentence or 25 years in prison. Then the court will relook her case and determine if the sentence should be shortened
