Day 3
Public transportation is one of the most important pieces of the puzzle that is modern transportation in today's cities. Without public transportation, many people would have to rely on friends or their own legs to get to work and other locations.
Today is dedicated to the public transportation on land. There are a couple questions today:
What are the total number of LAND pub. trans. types, and what are they?
What are your signature/most used LAND pub. trans types?
What, if any, projects are you working on to expand or update your LAND pub. trans.?

What are the total number of LAND pub. trans. types, and what are they? Car, Bus, Subway, High Speed Rail, Rail, Taxi, Ferry, so 7
What are your signature/most used LAND pub. trans types?
Car
What, if any, projects are you working on to expand or update your LAND pub. trans.?
Escambia recently completed a interstate project. In major cities highways expand from normal 4 lane in the country to 10 lane in the Metro areas to help move traffic. In suburban areas 6-8 lanes are common

Re: Day 3
total number question: say you have "Tram, Passenger Rail, Bus," you have 3 different public transportation types, and you have listed them. You can make a list per city if desired.

What are the total number of LAND pub. trans. types, and what are they?
Hmm, there's: Car, Buses, Train, El-Train, Tramway, Metro (subway), Bike, Trucks, monorail, ferry and Taxi... (total: 11)
What are your signature/most used LAND pub. trans types?
Car (car: 43% - bus: 21% - Metro: 13% - Tramway: 9% - Bike: 7% - Others: 7%) P.S. Taxi aren't very popular, only for tourists, due to the very low cost of the other "Transports en Commun" Public Transports.
What, if any, projects are you working on to expand or update your LAND pub. trans.?
Lydosia is actually in elections. No times to do projects!
Sincerly,

Re: Day 3
What are the total number of land public transportation types, and what are they?
The land public transportation network of Universal Fornax is massive and ever-growing. There are 7 types: bus, subway, passenger train, monorail, electric tram, troleybus, train bus and the controversal taxi.
For the Fornax Earth Colonies, Rafforsia have 4 types (bus, subway, monorail and taxi), while West Borneo have 3 types (bus, passenger train and taxi).
What are your signature/most used land public transportation types?
In Universal Fornax as a whole, bus is the most used land public trasnportation; Rafforsia is subway and it is also one of the world class subway system on Earth and with Universal Fornax.
What, if any, projects are you working on to expand or update your land public transportation?
Prior to the January 2010 Tsunamis, land public transportations expansion and upgrading projects are in full swing. The series of tsunamis, however, have forced over 98 land public transportation expansion and upgrading projects to stop all work, resulting in over US$94.2 billion of loses.
There are no expansion or upgrading projects on West Borneo currently.
On Rafforsia, 1 subway line will open next month, 3 subway lines are under construction and 4 subway lines are in planning stages, with a total budget of US$83 for these first 4 subway lines. Older subway trains are being refurbished and new fully-automated trains are being bought. There are also plans for transforming all old subway lines to fully automated lines. Subway station upgrading projects are also underway for 72 out of 103 subway stations.
Still on Rafforsia, all older models of the bus fleet are currently being replace with newer "green" buses with the physically-disabled friendly features such as wheelchair ramps. More double-decker buses and articulated buses are being ordered. Bus lanes are also being created along arterial roads around Rafforsia. In addition, starting from 22 March 2010 onwards, a new public transportation fare system will take effect, in which that the travel fare will be determined by point-to-point travel and transfer from subway to bus and vice versa will also be counted.
Taxis, too, are being replaced with newer "green" taxis on Rafforsia, and featuring bigger boots and a new taxi fare system.

Re: Day 3
What are the total number of LAND pub. trans. types, and what are they?
Total: 8
Taxis, Water Taxis, Ferries, Subway, Light Rail, Buses, Railroad, and High Speed Rail
What are your signature/most used LAND pub. trans types?
Subways, Light Rail, and Ferries. In the City of Hypertrophy, there are 5 major Ferry Lines that services both the Hypertrophy Bay and Sathya Bay Areas including the Meridian River, and the lower section of the Atlas River. Also, there are numerous subway stop in the densely populated city.
In the City of Gartlan, there is only a water taxi and light rail services. Approximately 65% of the Gartlan Commuters use the light rail or buses to get around the city. While 15% travel by railroad and high speed service. The remainder drive to work.
In the City of Damoskinos. Subway and Light rail is used by more than 60% of the residents. And approximately 10% commute by high speed rail or commuter railroad. Also about 15% of the commuters travel by ferries that transport vehicles to other locations.
In the City of Valentina. About 72% travel by light rail and buses the remaining is by car.
What, if any, projects are you working on to expand or update your LAND pub. trans.?
Currently in Hypertrophy and Damoskinos are restructuring the elevated subway lines to withstand earthquakes with at least a magnitude to 8.0. Several elevated subway platforms collapsed after the earthquake of 1994 in Hypertrophy. It was a wake up call to make sure this could be prevented.

Re: Day 3
What are the total number of LAND pub. trans. types, and what are they?
The Arcacian National Railway (ANR) operates a commuter service which covers the entire country. Rail services mostly, but bus an ferry services connect communities where rail lines do not exist or cannot be built.
MetroCorp operates light rail, subway and bus services within cities.
What are your signature/most used LAND pub. trans types?
It depends on where you are. Nationwide it's definitely the railway. In Yorke, Dianovia and Broadalbin it's light rail. Providence had the first subway. Redding City has both.
What, if any, projects are you working on to expand or update your LAND pub. trans.?
The most recent development was the addition of a Y-link to the rail network which essentially added a new line allowing direct rail services between Redding City and Cape Cooley.
There is also the possibility of a heavy rail line replacing or augmenting the light/elevated rail line between Broadalbin and Treegrove. If this goes ahead, the Broadalbin light rail will be dismantled south of Broadalbin, but new lines will be added in and around the city.

What are the total number of LAND pub. trans. types, and what are they?
Total Number: 5
Types: Subway, Hybrid Buses, Inter-city Rail, Elevated Rail, Taxi
What are your signature/most used LAND pub. trans types?
The most used transit system in the City is the Hybrid Buses, but a lot of people also use the Inter-city Rail which connects Canmore, Luxembourg, Humboldt, Port Nagasaki, and New Manchester, along with other stops in medium sized cities.
What, if any, projects are you working on to expand or update your LAND pub. trans.?
In the future Lisieux would like to extend it's Inter-city rail system to major cities in Escambia.
