Day 8 Empty Day 8

Post by Liberater444 29th January 2010, 02:54

Vehicles are arguably one of the most important aspects of a military. They transport and fight along side troops, carry large cargo loads, and even other vehicles. As this summit comes to an end, this second to last question is posed:

What vehicles does your military employ?

For those who do not have a military or would like to also answer:

What vehicles do your police/peacekeeping forces use?

The Arcacia Police are responsible for internal security. Their vehicles are usually Holden (GM) or Ford models, though there is also a Lamborghini in the fleet which is employed for talks in schools, or as part of an escort for foreign heads of state.

The Cost Guard are responsible for border control and use boats and helicopters.

As Borneo, Fornax, Lanna and Rafforsia are undergoing deletion one step at a time, I will not be revealing any military vehicles used.

Holidia uses a wide range of vehicles for it's military and the list would be too long to post here. Many are ex-British military whilst there are two newer fleets Fleet D (2006) and Fleet F (2009).

When it comes to policing the 3 agencies again use a wide variety of vehicles. The Police Service of Rathlin and Innis tend to go for the most economic option with reliable Nissan Terrano's for the small country roads outside of Rathlin City and Skoda Octavia vRS's for traffic patrol and for use within the City Centre beat - small electrical powered mitsubussi smart cars.

The Polic Service of Holidia take a more practical approach using vehicles with maximum performance - and for Belfast - maximum armour. Using MG ZT saloons for traffic patrols and heavily armoured PSH landrovers with battenburg stripe and bullet-proof windows. It also has grilles over all the front lights and roof lights, as well as the windscreen and below the registration plate to protect the officers from frequent petrol bombs, under-car bombs and stonings.

The Garda tend to go for the cheap, reliable and practical vehicle. Using BMWs for motorway patrol and older for mondeos for regular duties. Although the majority of the Gardaí fleet is consisted of a range of unmarked vehicles.
