I'm baaaaack... with BATs!

Let's get to it...

(The images and PNGs, I apologize... next update will be back to JPEGs. )

So, this is a GLR station I kinda dreamed up on the fly, and put together in Lot Editor. Some of the props I made, and some I used from various prop packs. I plan on adding some bus shelters, but other than that, it's pretty much done.




Next, I dug up the MBTA (Boston's transportation system) subway station and started adding some of the interior elements (the floor and stairs). It's definitely still WIP (work-in-progress), so I'll keep you posted.

Well, I left the AIN because I'm not really going to have a City Notebook anymore which is because I'm not going to really play SC4... I'm am going to build SC4. But I am still going to show my work here.

Thinking about it, we should have a BATter membership status. jk

Do you take requests, BTW? I'm looking for someone to BAT a RHW-6C hillside tunnel entrance (like a combination of the Big Dig and morifari's hillside el-rail/GLR-to-subway transitions), mostly because I'd rather not attempt this project myself , and you obviously have more than enough talent to take such a project on. If you'd rather not do requests, though, no problem

About the tunnels; those sound like a really neat idea.... but, sorry, I don't really have time BATting wise with all this RTMT work popping up all over the place. If I ever get a break from all the RTMT stuff (which will happen someday), I'd like to pursue this project.

A bus shelter that I'm going to add to my GLR station.

The GLR station is nearly done.... I am just having problems with the nightlights, they only show up on one side. :\

However, on the GLR station, can you release a 3x8 one with the shelters, parking and all, AND a 1x8 with just the station? The 1x8 would fit better in the more developed areas It looks very good either way though and I can't wait for the release.

Thanks! And yes, that will come out shortly after the 3x8 one. The 1x8 one will have its own platform, too.

Can I have a request? I would see some of South Asian rail station.

If possible, I'd also love to see a tropical or subtropical transport station.

Annora: Simtropolis has a ton to use at your disposal. I'd personally recommend THIS tutorial. That is part 1, but there are 4 parts that really give you a great overview of the BAT.

The hard drive on my laptop has failed, so after doing some diagnostics and troubleshooting, I sent it to a computer place to see if they can hopefully salvage the files on it. Even then, I do not have a machine capable of running programs like BAT, 3dsMAX, Cities XL, or even SC4, I'm afraid.

I realize I could purchase a new hard drive, but in my mind, that is just a short-term answer to a long-term problem. Since the graphics chipset was horrible, and the rest of the specs weren't really too outstanding at all, a laptop of better quality would be the way to go.

But, unless I strike gold and find a one-in-a-million deal on a laptop, I am probably not going to be doing many activities that involve CPU power using this older laptop I have.

This is part of the reason why I have been absent the past week. I'll try to stick around here, though.

I might've found that's within my price range, plus is a GREAT deal for the price.

Lately, I've been doing a lot of texture work for the RTMT team. It doesn't take a lot of cpu power to do that stuff, plus I'm learning a lot about texture modding.

I am definitely going to release a heavy-rail version, and I two-platform is a good idea also.
