Re: Day 12
If we have a new website, it should cost 0$ or very low per year. Well the website should be looking a bit like the current one: having a forum, mails, members, etc. We should have some "departements of the website" like those:
- About us
- Contact us
- Members
- City Journals
- Forum
- Mail
- Search
- log in/out
etc.
Nothing I have to say more for now.

Re: Day 12
Pros: Gives a more professional look and increase the reputation of AIN
Cons: Coding works, Failing for not paying in time when the bill arrives, Problem of transferring old contents into the new website
Possible Solutions: All the codes will take time to learn, so eventually we will learn from it. As for the bills, I believe the webhost will inform the caretakers of the website through email when it's time to pay. Transferring, it will take time.

Re: Day 12
Pros: Same as Aran has mentioned.
Cons: Costs money. May lead to AIN dissolving overnight if the website fails. Transfer issues. Compatibility issues. Coding issues. Flexibility issues.
In short, I don't think it's a good idea.

I am confident that this will not be a problem. These forums will always be here i'm sure in case something goes wrong. The member sof the this union won't just pack it in because a website doesnt work - what happened with the COFR wasnt directly caused by our webiste troubles it was because of pure lack of communication.
Re: Day 12
Hopefully the AIN will be stronger than the other failed unions - we have many dedicated members, but as you say, you never know what can happen.
I like Blakeway's system of Departments.
But like I've said in previous days, we must keep the forums as they are and redirect them, rather than move content. I think we should have a new homepage, a new theme for the site, new logos and things to get a fresh, more professional feel about the place, and we can try and get a decent price for hosting and things.
We only really need a couple of pages, and we already have this forum, so it shouldn't be too much work.
