Is the gun allowed in your nation? Explain.

Subquestion:
If the gun isn't allowed or is allowed in your nation, how is the gun traffic?

Guns are not permitted in Holidia without strict liscensing. A liscense is permitted only for recreational hunting (in permitted areas) and costs £800 (Holidian Punts - around $1500 USD) a year. This law is strictly enforced and the minium penalty is a large fine with the maximum being 5 year imprisionment. Despite the laws it is estimated there are around 40,000 illegal firearms in circulation between private owners, criminals and paramilitaries.

Only certain police units (unit 47 - anti paramiltary and gardaí armed units) carry guns after strict training that can last 2 years. No one under 21 is permitted to be licsensed for a gun or posess one, although air and army cadets (age 14+) are permitted to use firearms licsened for military use under strict supervision.

No they are armed with CS spray and extenable batons. Taser guns are also to be phased in, at the moment only beat officiers in certain 'bad' areas carry them. This is a deep contrast to before 2002 (when the british army withdrew from the then, Northern Ireland) - where most police were carrying the Heckler & Koch MP5, or rifles such as Heckler & Koch G3s, G36Cs or HK33s as well as Ruger Mini-14 select fire rifles to combat republican threats.

In 2008 all Glock 17 semi-automatic pistols were confiscated to resolve some conflict with paramiltaries refusing to decomission until the Police decomissioned (some paramiltaries view the police as a rival paramilitary). This is with the exception of some areas of Londonderry (the bogside), North and West Belfast, Monaghan and other border areas as the dissident threat is severe at the moment. The Heckler and Koch weapons are used around the border and by armed Garda units.

Other items of equipment include Hiatts Speedcuffs, CS (irritant) Spray, extendible batons, a first aid pouch, an encrypted radio and a torch with traffic wand.

EDIT: officers now routinely wear flak jackets as opposed to the stab vests worn by most irish and UK police officers and the Gardaí. Flak jackets were reintroduced for officers in December 2007 patrolling in the Greater Belfast & Greater Derry City areas owing to the threat from dissident republicans. More conspicuous than stab vests (owing to the fact they are worn over high-viz jackets), flak jackets have become an increasingly common sight on officers.

Recreational firearms are only allowed in some counties.

Sportsmen, meaning match shooters, not hunters, are allowed to own sporting rifles.

Law Enforcement use SIG P226 pistols, SPAS-12 shotguns, and L96 Arctic Warfare marksman rifles.

Under the Personal Firearms Law enacted by Emperor Jastonious in 1994, Anyone is allowed to carry a firearm for protection. However there are bans for high-powered assult rifles in the Kingdom of Hypertrophy, with the exception of law enforcement and military.

City cops in the kingdom are allowed to carry 9mm's (glock or berettas) Tactical shotguns for the Emergency Svc Units, and a service revolver of a .25 caliber.

Federal Law Enf. are required to carry high power assult rifles in case of standoffs or tactical means.

Military svc men are only required to use high powered assult rifles when doing combat overseas, otherwise they are only issued tactical shotguns if there were domestic situations.

For civilians carrying firearms on their person. They are required to carry a permit to carry a concealed weapon. But they are not required to be liscenced to keep a gun in their home or business. But they are banned in carrying firearms in public places. (Govt' bldgs, planes, schools, and hospitals) Although, Kingdom of Hypertrophy requires a background check for anyone purchasing a gun.

In both Arcacia and Lycanthia, it is strictly forbidden for private citizens to own guns. The exception is sports shooters and there are very strict laws surrounding the storage of sports pistols and rifles. Hunting is also strictly forbidden and strict background checks are administered before a person can be issued with a a SS1 (Sports Shooter, level 1) permit. This is the lowest level of permit and allows a person to purchase and keep a pistol OR rifle, store it at home in accordance with applicable laws and statutes, but does not allow them to keep ammunition. They must purchase ammunition at the shooting range. SS2 allows them to keep ammunition, SS3 allows them to make there own ammunition, SS4 allows them to keep more than one firearm and SS5 - the highest level - allows them to keep up to 3 pistols AND 3 rifles, buy and make their own ammunition. Typically, only Simlympians will carry an SS5 permit.

The police and coast guard are armed and some security guards are also permitted to carry a firearm, but this applies only to those guarding banks, armoured vehicles and other property where it is considered that there is a risk of grand theft or other attack.

Gun crime in Arcacia and Lycanthia is extremely low, with an average of 1 incident per year which almost always involves a stolen or otherwise illegally obtained weapon.

Carrying a gun without a suitable permit, or mis-use of a firearm that you are permitted to carry attracts very stiff penalties including large fines and imprisonment of up to 5 years.

If you shoot someone, the minimum charge is grievous bodily harm, the maximum is murder in the first degree. The former charge carries a minimum sentence of 8 years, the latter carries a maximum sentence of life without parole.

Bringing a firearm into Arcacia or Lycanthia, with the exception of friendly foreign military, police or other officials, is considered an attack on territorial sovereignty and can result in imprisonment, deportation and a ban from returning.

According to the Fornaxian Penal Code under the Weaponary Use Act, guns are prohibited throughout the country of Fornax unless permitted with a certified permission from the government. Here are the following groups of people that are allowed to weld guns:
1) Certain military personnels for use of teaching and training during peacetime
2) Certain military personnels for any uses during wartime
3) Certain armed police personnels for any uses during both peacetime and wartime but only permitted for certain actions
4) Certain bodyguards of People of Important Status for any uses during both peacetime and wartime
5) Certified organisations, centres and clubs only for use under the care of any supervised personnel
6) Certified athletes for use only during certified sporting competition, including certified practices and certified trainings
7) Any other people with a certified permission by the relevant governmental authorities

Anyone who misuse any guns will be punishable by the law and will not be allowed to weld or man any form of weaponary from the day of offence till the day he or she dies.

According to the Weaponary Trading Act, any importation or exportation of guns must be first registered to the Fornaxian Authorities so that the Fornaxian Authorities could watch over the import/export process so that not a single gun is missing. Anyone who fail to register the importation or exportation of guns will be accused of misusing the gun and will be punishable by the law and will not be allowed to weld or man any form of weaponary from the day of offence till the day he or she dies.

Importation and exportation of guns through any ferry terminals and airports without proper certification will be deemed as an attempt to harm the country of Fornax via terrorism threats, according to the Weaponary and Terrorism Act.

Is the gun allowed in your nation? Explain.

Ownership of the gun is illegal in Ollingdale, and any person found with a firearm will be sent to prison for 5 years minimum. Only the military, Military Police and hunting with guns is also illegal. Only professional sports persons are allowed guns, but they cannot leave the specialist Firearm Centre in suburban Ollingdale.

Subquestion:
If the gun isn't allowed or is allowed in your nation, how is the gun traffic?

Gun crime in Ollingdale has hit an all-time low, after guns were seized across the country and made illegal in 1999. Firearm-related arrests, including attacks and murders, are now at 25 a year. Gun crime was over 80 a year in 1999, and reached a peak of 201 in 1987.

Under Hypertrophy Law:

Any civilian carrying assult rifles and high powered assult rifles will receive a punishable sentence of up to 7 years in prison.

Since 1994, the anti-crime bill has been extremely helpful. Also the personal arms act has dropped the illegal purchases of gun possession.

Violent crimes have significantly dropped 78% compared to the murder rates in 1994. (Between 1986 - 1994 there were more than 3,500 murders a year, City of Hypertrophy was once dubbed the murder capital of North America.)
