Re: West Zone | L3B | Atrubia
-------------- History --------------
Atrubia, Officially the Royal Atrubian Empire (Arabic: الملكي الذهبي الإمبراطورية), gained its independence from France on the 4th of March 1743. Atrubia was originally a primitive country up until its discovery of gold in the late 1100s via conquering world countries. The nation soon grew into a world dominance but during the crusades, the population was decimated, and the coutry in complete and utter ruin. The French gained control and built many euro buildings. Not much were left after the great fire in the 1710s. Most buildings in the capitol were destroyed. The French realized that they could not keep the country, and prepared it for self-independence and self-government.
At first, the country did well for itself, but fell to ruin in 1745. Sheik Muhabar Dhan left the country in economic and physical ruin. Not to mention he started a small war. The country was once again decimated. The country thrived itself on the river that became a symbol of life. Life circulated around it and the capitol was formed again (*This area of the new Atrubia has not yet been formed in-game but will soon). The oldest buildings in the country are here. The town was soon growing. By 1800, the city was becoming large with a population of approximately 45,000. The country had a population had a population of around 100,000.
The country became an important spice trading center in the 1800s and was christened Atrubia, meaning: city of the world. During the first world war, the Ottoman Empire took Atrubia by brutal force. It was ruined. The city was rebuilt after WWI. The second world war did no better, the city was rebuilt. In 1964, oil was discovered, making the country prosper like no other. The oil craze was nuts and millions of drums have been filled and sold. Atrubia will run out and thats why the President Abijad Aljakar saw that there needed to be something other than an oil empire. He decided to diversify the economy for tourism and anything they could produce. Atrubia is the center for economictrade and prosperity it was meant to be, it may have taken 900 years, but it is well worth it.

-------------- Airports --------------
TMIA
Atrubia has a vast number of airports. Ranging from small-town, to full blown international travel. The first, of two, we will look at is TMIA (Temporary Meriah International Airport). Originally MIA, it needed to be changed because of conflictions with Miami International Airport. A new one is currently being built, but has been put aside for AC and SCAG team releases. Once done with the new airport, this will be dismantled and turned into a luxury resort. Take a look at TMIA.
International flights.
Based after a Carribean Airport, there is a beach lining the shoreline of Atrubia Bay (one of the largest bays in the world), but rock walls lining the ocean.
Some flights and random shots. Some of the 767.
Good morning flight 607.
The airport hotel.
Yusef Amir Archipelago Landing Strip (YAALS)
Not much to see, but something is on this island in the mddle of nowhere. Flights come in daily and weekly, mostly commuter planes.
The airport is the life of the island, once you step off the tarmac, you enter town.
The airport roundabout.
Once a month, a large supply plane comes in, usually a 737, but this time, a 757 took over. A very dangerous landing.
Hope you all enjoyed this little segment of Atrubia! Look out for the next, coming soon!
Alex

-------------- Life --------------
I call this segment "Life" because it shows the conditions of the cities and other areas. The cities are clean and, most of all, safe. The "other areas" not so much. They are, indeed, nice to look at but a probem for them is cleanliness. It is hard to see, but Atrubia produces A LOT of garbage and pollution. Oil factories constantly line the skies with smoke and pollution. Although none are shown in this expo, Atrubia will be more developed by the nest and it will show much more.
Yusef Amir Archipelago
The archipelago was formed years ago by who-knows-what and was inhabited 500 years ago. The native orginally spoke of a "mountain of flame" but no records of any volcanic activity have been found. Take a look for yourself, although most development was shown in the airports segment.
Protecting the island, this ship is the most advanced of the Atrubian Naval Fleet.
And, a natural little island that I played around with.
Muhamma
This will be the last city showcased. Unfortunately, most development in the region has been shown via updates. Since I have started a new region, there is really not much to show. But there will be soon.
A bridge spans the Atrubia Bay and this is the bridge.
At day.
And at night.
A comination of ballast and gravel keeps the mountain of sand that makes the approah to the bridge hold up, and keep from blowing away in high winds.
And two development shots for good measure.
I hope you all like my pavillion! Enjoy spring break (for those who have it or will have it)!

@Jamais203: Thanks! In regard to your question, two things. First off, its the middle east. Who speaks French anymore? Secndly, we would rather keep the area's language (Arabic) and the world language (which I pecieve as English). Good question though!

But Lebanon is different from Saudi Arabia and the UAE. It is closer to Europe. Lol. Point is, we have dropped the Language for the area.

kk, Good morning, 8:21 in Florida too! Very realistic nation you've got! wow!
Just another lil question: Do you have oil in Artubia because I think it's on the Persic Gulf and hmm near Saudi Arabi, the world's largest oil producer?

Re: West Zone | L3B | Atrubia
You are amazing at making airports. Just wondering, how many gates does TMIA have?
On the beach runway, there are still a bunch of things that will get blown away during airplane landings.
