Qualification

The following nations have automatically qualified as they have competed in the most recent Winter Simlympics and/or finished in the top 8 of the AIN Winter Games -

- Arcacia
- East Rockcoast
- Escambia
- Fornax
- Hypertrophy
- Lisieux
- Lower Columbia
- Lanaya
- Tirnreich
- Tongolia

The following teams will need to qualify by competing and finishing in the top 2 of their pool during the qualification rounds, or winning one of 2 Wild Card entries:

- Aleksania
- Ascadylea
- Atrubia
- Bagorai'
- Bob
- Ceara Islands
- Corraile
- Dardajhan Republic
- Hiigara
- Hispania*
- Holidia
- Illu'a
- Lycanthia
- Ollingdale
- Petrova
- Roanoke Island
- Sarnia Islands

*Hispania joined the AIN too late to be assigned to a pool for qualification, but will be in the Wild Card draw.

This means that 16 nations will be competing for the 10 remaining spots, meaning that each has a 62.5% chance of making it through.

The qualification round(s) will be held after the conclusion of the AIN Winter Games.

Teams that have not qualified will be divided into 4 pools of 4 teams and play 3 games against the other teams in their pool.

The top 2 teams from each pool will qualify. The bottom 2 teams from each pool will go into the Wild Card draw. Two teams will be chosen at random and granted Wild Card entry into the tournament. Points accumulated during the qualifying rounds will determine final rankings.

Teams that qualify will receive 1 point for qualifying, 3 points for each win, 2 for a tie and 1 point for each goal in their goal difference. Teams with a negative goal difference will have points deducted. The team that finishes first in their pool will receive 6 additional points.
