Getting to Providence
Providence Airport will be available to charter flights carrying athletes, officials, athletes' families and dignitaries. The size limit for aircraft landing at Providence is equivalent to a Boeing 767-200 or Boeing 787-3. This is due to both gate size and runway length. Also, due to limited gate numbers, aircraft will be expected to depart Providence as soon as possible.
For aircraft up to a size equivalent to a Boeing 777-300, Redding Airport is available. Aircraft larger than this will not be permitted to land, due to runway length. Arcacian Airlines will have 737s on standby in Brisbane and Sydney, where large airlines up to Boeing 747-400 and Airbus A380 can land safely. Passengers will then be shuttled to Providence aboard 737s at no cost. Flight time from Sydney is under 1 hour and about 30 minutes from Brisbane.

Re: Getting to Providence
Julien - I suggest you add a couple of stops. Vancouver to Providence is well beyond the 787-3's 3,000 nautical mile range. I suggest Honolulu and Fiji.

Re: Getting to Providence
The Holidian teams will be flying to Sydney - aboard a scheduled classic livery (2004) Airbus A340-500. They will then travel to Providence via Arcacian Airlines after 36 hours rest at their leisure in Sydney.
Funding for this is provided through sponsorship and Holidia's partially funded SportHolidia NGO

Re: Getting to Providence
The Aleksania Team (if it does come, this is dependent on the state of hostilities between Aleksania and the KSR), will arrive in an Aleksanian National Air Force Yakovlev Yak-42 (32-YAK42 or 33-YAK42)

Re: Getting to Providence
I don't think an A350-200 exists at all(Airbus says there's only -800, -900, and -1000). Using an A350 might also interfere with the "no futuristic technology" part of the AIN Constitution.

The Corraile National Athletic Team will come aboard an A330-300LR from Corraile Airlines International, and arrive at Redding.
@emgmod - I totally agree. Besides, the A350 doesn't come until 2013

Re: Getting to Providence
Can an A340 land in Providence?
(Arcacia needs an airport with a runway big enough to land an A380 so we can reduce this kind of discussion)

Re: Getting to Providence
Emgmod - no, an A340 is too large for Providence. It may be able to land in Redding, but the runway might be too short for it to take off again. As for Arcacia getting a big enough airport, that is highly unlikely as there is simply not enough space for one. Although, a man-made island where an airport which would replace all the existing airports is in the works, though it is a while off yet. It still needs to pass through the Senate and then would need to go to referendum as it is an EXTREMELY expensive proposition.

Either Sydney, or Fairview is choosing another plane.
