ISA Plans to put Shuttle in Orbit by October

The Tirnreich's Imperial Space Agency has already refurbished the long forgotten space shuttle left over from the Cold War, but preparations for a shuttle launch take a long time to finalize. The Ministry of Transportation has been working hard to put a team of astronauts from Empire in orbit.

"The M.o.T. is really working around-the-clock to get this project up to feasible capability by the end of summer, so we can make final preparations for a launch in October," said Minister of Transportation Holbaek. Minister Holbaek has been under review for misuse of funds, unwarranted personnel cuts, and poor public approval.

This could hinder the proposed October 2010 launch of a communications satellite, which will serve both the Tirnreich and the Union as a whole.

Satellite Construction Begins
PORT FRANC, Tirnreich- Construction has started on the Tirnreich's first telecommunications satellite Sunday in Port Franc, the Tirnlander Capital Region's industrial city. Currently, service modules and sensor arrays are being fabricated at several high tech industrial firms, such as International Industrial, a Tirnreich-based HTI company.

Over :AINERO: 126 Million will be used on the project, most of which will come from the Tirnlander MoT, while some may be secured from AIN funding.

The usage of the satellite will come mainly from the Tirnreich, which will use it for television, cellular and satellite phones, and internet. It may also be adapted for AIN-member use.

AIN DoT Launches "Operation Final Frontier"

Now that the Union's Department of Transportation has new leadership, a new initiative to gain more interest and participation in the AINSA has been launched, named Operation Final Frontier. The operation will see that all Union Members are informed on the AINSA and to get sign ups for countries to develop space modules or satellites for the Administration.

AINSA | News & Updates Empty Moonbase Proposal

Post by Liberater444 4th October 2010, 06:18

As proposed by Marsh, the AIN is discussing the plausibility of a self-sustaining moon base.

For the sake of economy, plausibility, and organization, I've posted the following checklist in phases.

Phase 1
  1. Discuss Proposal
  2. Get Approved

Phase 2
  • Brainstorm applications to Union (benefits, uses, etc)
  • Determine development centers, launching sites

Phase 3
  • Acquire Funding
  • Research (launching, operations, construction)

Phase 4
  • Construction of Equipment/Vehicles
    Launch Prep

Phase 5
  • Launch
    Construction of Base

Phase 6
  • Constant usage/application of base to Union

This ( ) signifies that the part of the phase has been completed.

Thank you all for observing this project, and soon I hope to get started on it!
