July 3, 2010 | Petrovars and International Community Angered by ISC
Chihiro Diplomat. Racheal Sethi. 10 minutes ago.
After the ISC's surprise announcement that they will be moving the XIII Simlympic Games to September instead of August, many people have become angry and frustrated. Petrova and Lanaya have expressed strong concerns on the matter as well as other Simsports and AIN members. After an uproar from the community, the ISC still announced that they will not be changing their minds.
A lot of Petrovars are asking the King to remove the bid and boycott the games. Hundreds are demonstrating outside the Royal Palace in Chihiro. However, he has not said anything.
Petrova has announced that there is a possibility that they will be withdrawing their bid. WIll boycotting and leaving the simcity world at the end of July be next? It's a possibility according to Peter Reyes, Prime Minister of Petrova. Chihiro Times interviewed him on the matter.
"Right now, Ainvision and AIN is keeping Petrova and the Dardajhan Republic in the Simcity World. With the sudden change in the schedule, should Petrova withdraw its bid, we might be leaving simcity at the end of July at the earliest. I know we planned for December, but that's with us hosting the August Games in mind."
"It's not the actions of the ISC that frustrated us, its how they executed it. It really is at the worst possible timing, a couple of hours prior to the session. The host of the session has threatened to not even host it. Petrova has done so much with the bid and to go back and change it to accomodate for the September change, would take quite a long time, considering this bid took two years in the making." says Victor Sari Devi, President of the Chihiro Bidding Committee
Gerard Loutrachj, Official Spokesperson of the King, said that King Andre will be addressing the nation within the next 24 hours about the matter.

The Tirnreich will back up its European ally and Union VP in her decision on the Simlympics.
"We believe that everyone deserves a fair chance to host the Games and the Committee's decision takes away that ability," said Hans Gruelling, Minister of Sports.
