Scientologists arrested
REDDING CITY: A group of people belonging to the cult of Scientology have been arrested in Redding City after harassing locals on their way to work. Three men and a woman from Melbourne, Australia were caught passing out propaganda and taking photos of people who told them to go away, even going so far as stalking a local woman for several hundred metres until she took refuge in a shop.
Police were called and the group were arrested. Propaganda and cameras were confiscated and the four face charges ranging from causing a public nuisance, taking photos of persons without their consent, to belonging to an illegal organisation and stalking. If convicted on the latter charge, they face up to 10 years in prison.
Scientology is a cult that has attracted many high profile members, including John Travolta and Tom Cruise. It was started by eccentic science fiction writer L. Ron Hubbard on a bet. Members believe that their bodies are infected with the spirits of dead aliens, killed by an intergalactic overlord named Xenu who flew them to Earth in McDonnell Douglas DC-9s 75 million years ago and dumped them all in volcanoes before detonating hydrogen bombs. According to the cult, the only way to clear one's spirit, which they call a "Thetan" is to pay exorbitant amounts of money for counselling.
Scientology was refused a licence to operate as a religious organisation in Arcacia in 1983 and outlawed completely in 2005. The cult's headquarters in Melbourne have demanded the immediate release of their members. In response, Arcacia has demanded that the head of the organisation be extradited to Arcacia to face court on a charge of threatening the President.
The four will face court tomorrow where they are expected to be remanded in custody.

Yay! No Scientology!
A long time ago, I actually managed to read a couple of the documents (for free.) The stuff is useless.

Re: Scientologists arrested
There are no laws on religion in Arcacia, either. There are, however, laws against cults. There are laws against charging people money to be a member of a religious organisation.
Scientology is not a religion. It's a cult. A dangerous cult.

Re: Scientologists arrested
The Tirnreich applauds the efforts of the Arcacian Police Force, as per the Cult Act of 2009, which is an extension of an Undeclared Law "promised"* in 1978 by Governor Drauss; the Act banned all activities of all organizations labeled by administrators as cults. This was promised after the Jonestown Mass Suicide incident.
*As the Tirnreich only recently gained independence from 3 countries, laws were promised by Tirnlander cultural and community leaders for when the Tirnland gained independence. (TRN was, at the time, split between Czechoslovakia, Poland, and East Germany)

The Federal Kingdom of Lower Columbia praises the Arcacian justice system for taking action against these dangerous troublemakers. These actions show that Arcacia's government is dedicated to defending the well-being of its citizens against the threat of extremists who would dare to stalk law-abiding citizens simply to promulgate their bizarre beliefs.
