It's a great idea for those who want to be part of a Dept., and for those Dept. Heads who cannot always check the site.

It is certainly a good idea.

The structure could be scaled down a little. The Dept. should only include a pair of members other than Saathoff and Tyler. Also, I haven't read the ENTIRE charter, but it seems unnaturally long. I believe a simple mission statement would be sufficient.
