I don't have much of an interest in it, I don't think it's working since it hasn't been pushed properly. And it seems unrealistic, considering everything that has happened to Aleksania - why would we want our navies showing a united front? I'm not eating hamburgers with the President anytime soon.

Southern Ocean, away from AIN nations.

When it's fully prepared and ready.

Ollingdale and Cattala will not be participating due to the ongoing dispute with Aleksania.

Its my idea, but then its meant to foster unity between nations, not show the divide. Remember these things happen in real life, and this helps foster friendships between AIN member nations

Well, being the proposer, I believe that this initiative would allow better transportation between member nations close in proximity to each other. This would be especially usefull for the Pacific Community, as the amount of AIN nations in the area would mean more stops and better/easier transportation between them.

Have an AFA director, to post updates, Association news, and manage the forums area, while overseeing the signatory members make independent agreements.

Honestly, I'm thinking we should have regional AINEXTs, as it would be logistically and economically impossible/irresponsible to ship an entire naval element across the world for training exercises. Therefore, I think we should have regional expos for more ease. (see #4)

When we can organize it with the proper setting (see #2) and when the most amount of nations can participate.

Regional Expos would allow more people to participate and have it be more realistic. More people would be able to participate as the forums would not be cluttered with all our members' posts, but only the participants in the region. Also, as stated it would be more realistic to host them regionally, so we aren't guzzling tons of fuel to participate in exercises.

Considering that all AIN nations are set far apart, I find that the AFA is (no offence to anyone who supported the AFA) useless.
However, if you guys love the AFA, I only have one suggestion:
For those AIN nations that are in clusters (e.g. Escambia/Roanoke Island, Melanesia Caroline Group, etc.), create a cluster division of the AFA, then have a main AFA to control all cluster divisions.

1. What do you think about this?
Considering that AIN nations tend to be in widely-separated clusters, I think it would be impractical to try to set up some sort of unionwide ferry network, though it might be a good mechanism for creating a unionwide cruise ship network. But since this is about ferries, I'm going to agree with Aran's suggestion.

2. How do we run this?
I'd say that the best option would likely be to have the AFA under the Minister of Transportation, with an administrator overseeing the directors of regional networks.

I support the idea in general, though I think it would be more practical to have a series of regional expos, like Liberater suggested.

In international waters close to clusters of member nations.

When we're good and ready for it!

Great, but I think we should divide it by locations on the oceans. I've witnessed multiple RIMPAC operations in Hawaii, and the only country not in the Pacific participating is the UK. It's very unrealistic to move navies around the world.

Escambia/Roanoke Islands for a Pacific one. For others, I'm not sure.

I think it is a good idea, good for cost-cutting and streamlining proposes (EX: not having 5 ferry companies operating 5 ferries to a destination when one will suffice.)
