AIN Embassy in Ollingdale attacked by Nationalist protesters
At around 4pm on Friday afternoon in Ollingdale, members of the National Party, who recently attacked the Export Centre, viciously clashed with riot police near the Prime Minister's home in Ollingdale Green. Petrol bombs and bricks were hurled at the outnumbered police, as tear gas and water cannons were brought in the force them back. 2 officers and five protesters were injured outside the headquarters of the AIN, and one officer was taken to hospital with minor burns but was later discharged. Around 30 rioters were arrested and are being questioned in the capital through Saturday morning. It is believed that the ONP is being investigated for organising the riot, and the security forces are being criticised for not being prepared for the attack. The Police Office also announced that extra police patrols are being deployed across the country, with mounted forces patrolling the Ollingdale Lake area for the first time since July 2005.

Re: Ollingdale News Thread
They believe that the country should be a republic and they hate unions, like the EU, Commonwealth and AIN. They're a far-right party, that isn't very popular, but still has some support.
It seems that they keep making their attacks worse - originally they just attacked the Export Centre, but now they have really launched a violent protest on the Government District. When they attacked the Export Centre, they had machine guns, so that is a concern for the police and Govt in the future.

Re: Ollingdale News Thread
Not at the moment - this is the first time they have attacked public areas, so they are now on the OS1 watchlist. The political party remains unaffected by their members actions, and the investigation into how much the ONP is involved in the protest. But the police know that the attackers were part of the party.

Re: Ollingdale News Thread
In a raid on a KSR headquarters by Aleksanian Special Forces, they discovered documents hinting to a possible connection between the ONP bombings and the KSR.
Re: Ollingdale News Thread
Thank you for the offers of assistance from fellow AIN nations - at this time we have the situation under control, but if there are any updates then we will let you know.
The OS2 team (Foreign Secret Service for the UIO) in Aleksania will make contact with the ASF to investigate the documents and possible links between the Ollingdale National Party and the KSR. Is the KSR anti-AIN? If so, then that would be a strong connection between the two parties.

Troop Withdrawal Ends
Afghan Withdrawal ends with massive military parade amid anti-terror law controversy
The final soldiers of the Royal Ollingdale Regiment returned from Afghanistan on Friday morning to a hero's welcome in the capital district, with 2,000 troops marching from South Ollingdale to the edge of the Government district. Every soldier who marched had served in the disastrous Afghan conflict, that nearly led to the downfall of the previous Conservative administration. The return of the soldiers was also seen as a show of national force against the now-blacklisted ONP, who recently rioted in the capital. Over 200 tanks rolled along the main road towards the Olling Mountains, heading up to mountainside port to return to base. Fighter jets also flew over the capital, including several that had returned from Afghanistan last month. The show of strength by the military was the biggest in the island's history.
Prime Minister Thomas Simpson, who recently returned from frosty talks with the EU President, congratulated the troops and was quoted saying that the country will never again go to war "just because our allies do", signalling the increasing differences in opinion with the EU and America.
In other news, the Head of the Law and Order Office held a joint press conference with the Minister for the National Security and Police Office today highlighting the strong effort to combat the rise in terrorist attacks in the UIO. Lady Anne Mistrict and Paul Robinson, both MPs for Woking, announced a controversial measure to prevent terrorist groups like the newly-classified National Party that would allow armed police and troops to be on standby for future attacks, which would give them the powers to use live ammunition on the rioters.
ON1, the national security service, has also been given the green light to arrest and sentence terrorists outside of a normal court of law, which breaches the AIN Constitution, under Section 6.0.

The Sovereign Crowned Republic of Holidia fully supports the sanctions the United Islands of Ollingdale are using to reduce the threat of the ONP causing more damage to our greatest ally.
We will be closely monitoring the situation and urge other AIN nations to support this sanction for the safety of innocent citizens of Ollingdale and the security of the nation.

Arcacia to take Ollingdale to Court
Arcacia takes Ollingdale to AIN Court
In a surprising turn of events, Arcacia, once a UIO ally, has declared it's intentions to take Ollingdale to court if it refuses to withdraw the new anti-terror legislation that means that OS1 can now arrest and sentence terrorists outside of a normal court of law. A statement was released by an Arcacian Government official this afternoon:
"If Ollingdale refuses to repeal its recent anti-terror law, then Arcacia will have no choice but to submit a case to the Alliance of Independent Nations Court for breaching the Constitution, that the Prime Minister of Ollingdale signed."
A statement was hurriedly prepared by the UIO Government, which responded saying that the law is "for the safety of all citizens of Ollingdale, and the AIN. If Arcacia wishes to take us to court for that, then so be it."
The Arcacian Ambassador arrived at the Prime Minister's home this evening to discuss the issue, and was seen exiting the building looking extremely angry, according to sources. Just minutes later, the PM left the building and has flown to Roanoke Island in preparation for the court case.
BREAKING NEWS: Arcacia has filed the court case.

PM meets Holidian First Minister ahead of AIN Court Case
Holidia boosts morale ahead of AIN Court Case
Prime Minister Thomas Simpson today flew into Holidia before he jets off to Escambia for the AIN Court meeting, in which Ollingdale is on trial. Arlene Foster, the acting First Minister of the close UIO ally, pledged her country's "undisputed support" of the Government ahead of the trial. Holidia is reliant on Ollingdale for a vast amount of its oil and gas supplies, but both leaders have categorically denied that trade has anything to do with the support from Rathlin. Simpson welcomed Holidia's support graciously, and mentioned the similar problems both nations have with internal terrorism. "Holidia has shown itself remarkably over the past 40 years that it has faced a similar threat of attack from within, which Ollingdale now faces. We hope this strong bond between our two countries can continue."
The Government has come under fire from several nations, including Arcacia, about it's human rights breach. Leading economists say that trade with many AIN countries could be vastly affected during the court case and relations with Arcacia and Lycanthia could become "undeniably tense and unworkable". The AIN Minister walked out of last-minute talks with the Oceanic countries leaders today.

Shooting outside Elizabeth Manor
ONP clashes with riot police and army near Elizabeth Manor
The Ollingdale-Holidia Summit, set to be held in Woking in less than 2 weeks, was thrown into chaos today when hundreds of rioting Nationalist members attempted to storm Manor Island, just south of Woking. The Manor Airport was closed for 3 hours as riot police were once again outnumbered by the terrorist organisation members, whilst the military flew in armed troops to counter the rioters.
It is believed over 40 members of the 350-strong ONP group were killed, including the leader of the National Party. Police sources have refused to name any of the dead, but sources have said that the body of Jeremy Horn had been flown to Petrobas Island for a post mortem by army specialists. Troops from the Royal Ollingdale Rifles regiment had been flown into Woking just minutes into the riot, and took up positions in the grounds of the PM's retreat to fire live rounds on the terrorists. Tear gas and water guns were also used to disperse the crowds, and shooting could be heard as far away as West Woking. Small fires could also seen, as protesters again used petrol bombs on the troops, along with automatic guns. 15 soldiers and 11 police were injured in the riots.
The Prime Minister, currently in Escambia answering charges placed against Ollingdale for breaching the Constitution of the AIN, condemned the attack but assured the concerned Holidian First Minister over the telephone that the summit will not be affected, and decided that security at the ongoing Miss AIN pagents would be tightened. The national threat level has remained at orange, despite the recent attacks.

Foreign Ministry confirms Meeting with Atlantic Federation
Foreign Minister to meet Atlantic Federation counterpart in Ollingdale next week
The Foreign Ministry has announced that a last-minute meeting between Lord Francis Devinson and Michael K. Smith from the Atlantic Federation will be held next week in Ollingdale, after the Aleksanian nuclear attack on the KSR caused shockwaves through the AIN. It is believed that in the meetings the pair will discuss trade, military and foreign interests among other topics. In a statement released tonight, the Deputy Foreign Minister, Frank Swift, said:
The Foreign Minister is currently in Holidia with the PM and other senior figures in a similar meeting with Holidian representatives. It is believed that the Government would like to call more meetings with other nations, including a follow-up meeting in the Atlantic Federation to discuss broader issues, including the economy and natural resources.

The recent events that are still unfolding in Aleksania have caused a rift between several nations in the AIN, including Ollingdale and the Atlantic Federation. We hope that calling this summit earlier than planned will mean that relations can be preserved. As part of the meetings, trade links, military agreements and foreign affairs will all be discussed by the two senior Foreign Ministers, who hope to reach an agreement on future deals. Ollingdale hopes to strengthen relations with the Atlantic Federation, and believe this is a key step in achieving this goal.

AIN Ambassadors Shot Dead in Riot
AIN Ambassadors Killed in Riot, 16 People Dead
Ollingdale City has been shut down after the biggest protest march in Ollingdale history turned into a riot, ending in the deaths of 16 people and the destruction of nearly all the embassies in the capital. It's believed that several Alliance Ambassadors and their staff have been killed in the attacks, although official death toll figures are yet to be released. Armed police are now patrolling the entire capital, and the army is also patrolling the key Government areas of the city, with fires still burning across the capital.
A Government spokesperson has been quoted by Sky News saying:
"The situation with the Ollingdale National Party has worsened rapidly since Arcacia launched it's court case against us. This ongoing crisis highlights why we need to take these strong measures, against these terrorists. The country is in a day of mourning - dozens of people have been injured or worse, killed, in this tragedy. The Government will not allow this to go on for any longer. The ONP will be stopped."
Many analysts believe that full-on military action may be necessary to destroy the ONP once and for all, especially with the rumours that at least one ambassador was caught up in a firefight between rioters and the army. At a time when Olling-AIN relations remain unsteady following the export ban last month, the death of foreign embassy staff could cause an even wider rift between the UIO and it's alliance partners.

Corraile did not have any ambassadors in Ollingdale at the time of the riots. Also, Corraile strongly condemns the deadly riots and offers military assistance if needed.

Fairview will ask for indemnizations if any Fairview people died because of this riot! We are sick of having Fairview people being killed because the irresponsability of others Nations governors! Follow Fairview and others countries in the peace matter!
If any of this event will be repeat we will take this to the court!

Mr President, with all due respect, we have not got any official figures about death tolls from the emergency services yet, so we have no idea whether any foreign nationals have died yet. There are reports that at least one ambassador was killed in the attacks, although my sources have not seen any evidence of that. Your embassy is secure and safe, and we are currently locating all embassy staff from every nation, as well as evacuating those that we find to London.
Until we have all the information from the relevant authorities, compensation schemes for the families affected will not be discussed, as we are focused solely on protecting the people in Ollingdale City, and capturing these terrorists. We also advise you to think more carefully before launching accusations and threats towards nations who are supposed to be your allies.

Re: Ollingdale News Thread
Of course we are one of Ollingdale allies but the problem is not of Ollingdale but it is of the people that started this riot! I am sorry, with due respect, if I was very severe in my discurss but Fairview lost about 61 important people in attacks in others Nations, this year! I think that those people who started this riot should be jailed!
Fairview will immediatly send special police forces to keep the peace and security in Ollingdale if you agree, of course!

Re: Ollingdale News Thread
We understand your concern for your citizens, all nations have expressed concern. The police and army are currently investigating the riot.
You may send a small, crack team of police forces to Ollingdale, and they would join the OS1 force that is currently training.
