Cattala's membership of the AIN is at stake as government drafts withdrawal plans
Government working on legislative powers to withdraw from AIN
Alliasceptics rally as Cattolica Conservatori agrees to Il Popolo demands for emergency exit plans
The Government of Cattala is drafting up emergency plans to withdraw from the Ainero and Alliance Security Council with immediate effect as diplomatic ties with several leading powers appear to have collapsed. Lord Secolo and his senior Cattolica Conservatori ministers have met with coalition partners Il Popolo and have agreed to their demands of legislative powers that could be enacted immediately to restore "full sovereignty and independence" to Cattala and ensure the "economic and political survival" of both the government and the country.
Despite plans to tour the AIN community this autumn, and the restoration of relations with the Atlantic Federation, Hiigara and Syldavia looking promising, the closure of borders by the latter countries has led to a "catastrophic collapse" in diplomatic ties between Cattala and the two Pizen Pact nations. "We are now seeing the devastation of Cattala's economic and political status in the world, coming to fruition." said leading Alliasceptic Georgio Ammarello. "The creation of the Pizen Pact is a direct threat to the sovereignty of Cattala and may force us to continue relying on the military strength of foreign powers to ensure our protection. That isn't independence and we want out." urged the former Il Popolo minister.
Senior government sources have also told the Daily Telegraph that they are holding meetings this weekend to discuss the possibility of a Cattalian withdrawal from the AIN due to the "continuing diplomatic and economic pressures placed on the country by foreign powers". If Cattala was to abandon the AINERO and Alliance Security Council it would be a major blow to the two organisations, which are relatively new and modest in size. The sources also confirmed that the government was "seriously considering" the abandonment of its AIN membership.

Re: The Daily Telegraph
Atlantic Commonwealth may be good for the Federation, but not Cattala
Alone in the world: Cattala silenced as European alliance disintegrates
Pizen Pact and Atlantic Commonwealth "will split the world into two"
Cattala is rapidly becoming a "forgotten island" as the world has now become split into two groups - the Pizen Pact nations of the east, and the Atlantic Commonwealth of the west. The formation of the Atlantic Commonwealth has also rendered the Association of European States null and void, since Europe's biggest economy, Llithustania, has left to join the Atlantic powerhouses. The AES will collapse shortly and with it will go Cattala's objective of becoming a regional power. For a country of 4 million people, it was a hard ask. But the recent Security Council ambush, which continues to threaten the independence of Cattala's military, and the formation of these supra-national organisations, will now wipe out the wishful dreams of increased Cattalian influence.
The Atlantic Commonwealth, despite it's strong economic credentials and vast influence across North America and Europe, is not the threat to Cattala. Our allies Corraile and Galbadia will be paramount to the Commonwealth's success in political, economic and military quarters. But in the Pizen Pact we have no friends - Okatabawashi is our only acquaintance and the upcoming elections mean any change in stance on Pizen will be risky and probably won't happen, whilst Syldavia, Shushtrepistaz and Hiigara have all expressed strong wishes to punish Cattala in any and all means possible. Through union, they have achieved their goal of weakening Cattala and threatening the 100 million-strong Atlantic Federation's dominance of the Western world. Now we just have to wait and see who blinks first.

Hmn. I just notice that the flags are circling AF, this could symbolize that all of the Members of the Atlantic Commonwealth are pawns, or servants to AF

Re: The Daily Telegraph
The gaping black... The Pizen Pact is trying to bring Cattala to its knees
Alliance Security Council is voting on Cattala's military dignity
A nation's pride, and maybe it's sovereignty, is at stake
The Alliance Security Council has begun voting on the Hiigaran resolution to ban military trade with Cattala for an undetermined amount of time, which will cripple the country's defence industry and weaken our standing in the alliance considerably. When a country that was attacked only a few months ago by an neo-imperialist superpower is prevented from defending itself, a truly sad day will have dawned in the world. The Hiigaran Confederacy is using the Security Council, which Cattala is a member of, as a guise to weaken our island's defences and allow them to push us around. They have shown in the past their true colours - all out war with Cattala is not a problem for their Confederacy and if the Cattalian government allows them to walk all over us, then they will have failed in their roles as leaders. The ASC will also have failed, in it's role to prevent war and protect the sovereignty of independent nations - which is part of the key statement of the union.
If Cattala is forced to swallow a toxic pill for the sake of pleasing a hawkish and brutalist Pizen Pact, then serious questions of what we are doing at this time will be asked - maybe not now, but when there are Pizen battleships in the Roumeli Strait, we will ask what we were doing. What the Alliance was doing.
