Re: AIFF Tropics Cup
Well you might be athletic but you aren't too football savvy...
By the way guys, there are two more signups. Remember there are up to two teams per username, so sign up your dependencies if you want to see them compete. The signups will be closed very soon, probably within the next 36 hours.
The stadium pictures will be coming this week as well, and possibly the game ball. Stay tuned!
(also, can an admin give me a subforum for the tournament?)

Re: AIFF Tropics Cup
New Chandler has Tirnreich, which should be fabulous. Out for revenge from the Simlympics, when they beat us!
The Stadiums and a few city pictures will slowly be released over the next month leading up to the opening ceremony Thursday, September 30, featuring a rock concert, fireworks/laser show, and a parade the afternoon leading up to it. It will be held at Great White Stadium.
Our first stadium is Fairfax Stadium. This stadium is located in the hilly Fairfax District in Southwest New Chandler City, due West of the Central Core. Recently built to replace an older stadium which became much too small for its several tenants, this stadium, finished in 2005, is a work of art, inside and out, and can hold up to 87,000 people, making it the third biggest stadium in the country, only behind the Galanos Bowl and Great White Stadium (both featured in the Tropics Cup as well). During the AIFF Tropics Cup, it will be filling all 84,000 seats, as the 3,000 standing room locations won't be ticketed. Fairfax Stadium is centrally located on the NC 233 highway, and the 2 line on the New Chandler Subway.

Re: AIFF Tropics Cup
The second largest stadium in Africa and in New Chandler, the Galanos Bowl is a massive stadium, holding the title for largest stadium in New Chandler for twenty years, until Great White Stadium was completed. This doesn't say by any means that the Galanos Bowl is small though, it can hold an astounding 99,000 people. Located in the shadows of the Emerald Bridge, the Galanos Bowl is located on the Northeastern corner of Galanos Island, a towering commerce hub of New Chandler. A beautiful stadium without a doubt, the Galanos Bowl is an intimidating environment, but nonetheless a spectacular place to watch a football game.
The Galanos Bowl will be the site of the third/fourth place match, on October 16.

Precisely. There is a very small, not very significant opening ceremony September 30. The football action starts October 1 though!

Re: AIFF Tropics Cup
A beautiful stadium in a beautiful location, Don Fierro Stadium is the largest stadium in the Rockaway Metropolitan Area. The Stadium is located extremely near the NC 810 highway, which leads right into Downtown Rockaway. It's also close to the Financial District of Bayview Named for Don Fierro, a coach for Bayview FC and Bayview University FC who put his will toward the college and program, the stadium was built in 1995 and named after him, who passed away the same year, and never saw the completion of it. Don Fierro Stadium can hold 77,500 people. As said earlier, it is centrally located near the Financial District of Bayview, the NC 810 leading into the city of Rockaway, the second largest city in the country, and also on the Bayview Line of the Rockaway Area Metro (RAM).
