Union Additions

Ok, I have to ideas:

1. Member "Myspace"(or Facebook)

Let's get to know the person behind the avatars. Each person gets their own sub-forum and they can post whatever they want. Its like having your own facebook/myspace page, but on AIN. Of course, you can post pics of yourself, talk about life, ask for help(such as homework or RL advice) and other off-topic things. I think this is a great idea for the members to be more friendly.

2. AIN Wiki

Sure, CJ's are a good idea. But its kinda a pain in the behind looking for vital info such as a country's population and their language and such as. What if we had wiki's in here that has condensed summarized info of each country/dependency in wikipedia format? Or better yet, make our wikis on the site "edit.this.info"? This idea was inspired from me reading dizflip's post on the union cup.


So what do you think?

If we create a wiki, I'd like to manage it as I believe I have a fast reaction time such as the addition of flags, more knowledge of the website, and I've done well with my old union's wiki (nearly all of the articles in that old wiki [ http://editthis.info/adrian_union/Newport ] were done by me.) The only way I can manage the wiki is if I create it. So I just need your approval to create it.

No, that's not what I meant. I mean the technical stuff, such as templates, images, etc. For a smooth flow.

i like the ideas

I support dizflip for the wiki, he has proven his knowledge in wikis and has managed to run them quite efficent in the past.

Im not sure about Myspace/Facebook, I would support this for other members but it isn't quite for me :-P

They are great. Especially the Wiki.

Ok, the majority agrees on my ideas, so I'll start making the AIN myspace/facebook subforums. Of course, only members that are logged on can see this subforum.

And diz, if its alright with you, you can go ahead and work on our wiki templates. Then it depends on the individual whether they want to do the actual filling in themselves or by you

Also, we need to think of name for the AIN Facebook/Myspace Forums. Any ideas???

ok. and guys i have a question. ummm you know how whenever you go to wikipedia there's a table on the right with the country's info in it. how do you do that in ain wiki??

This wiki won't let us upload any pictures. That function has been turned off since June 2008, and they said it was only temporary. I'll find another..
