- Spoiler:
- Does your country enforce equality laws? Are women and ethnic minorities treated the same as ethnic majority males, for example?
Cattala tries to enforce equality laws, but the culture of suing former/current employers is frowned upon. Women and ethnic minorities are treated exactly the same by the Government, and citizens that are racist or discriminate against others can be arrested and fined/imprisoned.
Is racism common within your country? If so, why?
Nowadays, racism is much more of a jokey-thing within society and isn't so much of a problem. Racists are frowned upon and often abused for being racist. Racism and racist attacks have fallen a lot, as the country has become more accepting of others.
Is sexism and homophobia common within your country? If so, why?
There is a gap between the wages of men and women, but that gap is closing quickly. Homosexuals are less accepted, though. It was only a few years ago that the Cattalian Church split with the Roman Catholic Church on the matter of homosexuality - the CC Church now accepts homosexuality as a part of life, whereas the RC Church condemns it. Due to it only recently being accepted by the national church, homosexuality remains a sticky topic for Cattalians. The older generation follow the RCC belief that it is wrong, whilst cosmopolitan younger generations accept it.
How did the Global Recession of the last three years affect your national economy?
The global recession slowed growth sharply, and led to a three quarter long recession in Cattala. Financial services, like investment banking and other fiscal sectors suffered worst in the downturn and have still not recovered. Industrial output fell, but has grown again and employers are re-hiring staff again. The public service managed to remain relatively unscathed, and helped keep money flowing around the country.
What has the country been doing to reduce discrimination and inequality?
Laws have been tightened on the issue of discrimination and especially racism - you can now be sent to prison for a racist/homophobic attack and the public is encouraged both by the Cattalian Catholic Church and the Government to be more open to other religions, races and homosexuals.

Both countries have equality of the sexes and races enshrined in the constitution. Any discrimination is dealt with very seriously.
~ Is racism common within your country? If so, why?
No. In fact, racism is so reviled that to be labelled a racist is one of the biggest insults you can hurl at someone.
~ Is sexism and homophobia common within your country? If so, why?
No. Again, both concepts are reviled. Sexism is a relic of a forgotten era and homophobia is a foreign concept. In both Arcacia and Lycanthia, gays and lesbians have the right to marry, adopt children, access IVF, and any and all other rights extended to a couple. Some of these rights, such as that of adoption, are also available to single persons of good character.
~ What has the country been doing to reduce discrimination and inequality?
Of late, the last stronghold of discrimination has been school students. An extensive education and outreach program has been utilised to great success, including broadening of sexual education to include issue pertinent to gays, lesbians and transgender people.
Cultural festivals are also held regularly, giving people a chance to sample food, music and art from around the world.

No, we do not enforce equality laws, most people are tolerant, and had been no need, in 1940 a law defining equal rights was passed, but that was about it
~ Is racism common within your country? If so, why?
No, humans are basically bias to others, but again tolerance was one of the morals taught from parent to child, but Racism remains somewhat
~ Is sexism and homophobia common within your country? If so, why?
Yes, as humans are bias to different, and they fear it, according to polls 32% of Shushtrepistaz wanted to ban gay, etc marriages
~ What has the country been doing to reduce discrimination and inequality?
An anti-bulling act has been passed among schools and children have been encouraged to tell on individuals who harrass them, for the outside world, most of it was handed led by The Defining Laws of 1940
