Welcome back to the Alliance Centre, for the final day of Minor Summit IV.I.
To close this summit, we'll be looking at the future. A world without oil. Please use the questions in your answers.
~ What is your country going to do to phase out and reduce reliance on fossil fuels?
~ How reliant is your country on oil, and how is it trying to reduce it?
~ Does your country make money from the oil industry? If so, how will it raise income in the future?

Cattala is investing in electrical vehicles and green energy - 30% of all electricity now comes from renewable sources, excluding domestic solar.
How reliant is your country on oil, and how is it trying to reduce it?
The country is reliant on Libyan and Russian oil, and is trying to reduce the consumption by investing in domestic energy production, more efficient appliances and electrical/hybrid vehicles that are charged by renewable energy plants.
Does your country make money from the oil industry? If so, how will it raise income in the future?
Cattala makes some money from oil & gas multinationals, but not a vast amount.

Developing the electric car. All our electricity is produced with Solar, Wind and Hydro. Totally green, even if we have coal in our mountains.

We have charge bases for electric vehicles.

Yes. As our resource is small, we won't have it for a lot of time (maximum 20 years).

Arcacia does not use fossil fuels for the production of electricity, preferring a combination of green energy sources. Fortunately, being a small country, this is achievable.
~ How reliant is your country on oil, and how is it trying to reduce it?
With the exception of cars and other road transport, there is very little demand for oil. That being said, Arcacia and Lycanthia will embrace electric cars and other alternatives so long as they are viable alternatives.
The biggest consumer of oil in Arcacia is the aviation industry. So far, there is very little progress in finding a suitable alternative.

No. Arcacia imports all the oil it uses.
