Foreign Relations
Welcome!
This is the forum for international relations of New Altai Republic. Whether you wish to propose a summit, agreement or simply phone and ask how it's going, please do so here. Here you can also find the status of current foreign relations of New Altai Republic. The Map is update when deemed necessary by the Foreign Ministry of the New Altai Republic.
[Only admins are allowed to see this image]
Map legend: Blue: New Altai Republic, Green: Extremely good relations, Light-Green: Improved relations, White: Normal / Neutral relations, Light-Red: Strained relations, Red: Diplomatic conflict, Orange: War, Grey: No official relations (not good nor bad)
The colour legend does by no means depict absolute values and states of the relations. The relations are depicted on the full 3-colour spectrum shown in the bottom of the map, excluding Blue, Orange and Grey -"relations". Relations improve and decline constantly and are influenced by everything that happens in the world. Light red glimmer might be caused simply by a conflict of interests, signing an international treaty or a nation winning a bid over an event hosting. Same goes for light green glimmer.
If the map requires any correcting please either PM me or post your request for change here.

Re: New Altai Republic Archives
Thanks all for your interest!
Kevin: If you have good ideas of how to show micro states on the map as well, I'm listening!
Regarding state visits: Unfortunately New Altai Republic is not able to accept or do any state visits before the beginning of December. I have added a calendar in the first post to show availability.
To add: the Parliament (El Kurultai) has currently announced that now that the State has joined among other States in the AIN, the main foreign policies are to look for partners in the fields of Education (possibilities of student/staff exchanges in teaching institutions?), Business (main industries: Agriculture, food processing, raw material production) and Culture (Geography offers breath taking views from the Altay Mountains as well as thick forests and steppes, populated by wild horses. Major sports include: Ice Hockey, Rugby, Wrestling, Football ).

Re: New Altai Republic Archives
Aleksania isn't a microstate, but an island chain nation, you should just put a dot and then a line with the name of the country in the color on the scale that you want. could be something like this:

(Enlarged to show detail! )
(PS - If you want to do the names in russian, aleksania is: Республика Алексниа

El Kurultai
Welcome!
This section is to present the State Assembly of the New Altai Republic, known commonly as El Kurultai. The full name is Эл Курултай Ni Ени Алтай Республики (El Kurultai Ni Yeni Altay Respublika), Государственное Собрание нового Республики Алтай, Parlament der Neuen Republik Altai, State Assembly of the New Altai Republic.
All important state-related questions pass through El Kurultai. In addition to approving legislation, El Kurultai appoints high officials of the state, including the Prime Minister and Chief Judge of the Supreme Court, and elects (either alone or, if necessary, together with representatives of local government within a broader electoral college) the President. El Kurultai also ratifies significant foreign treaties that impose military and proprietary obligations, bring about changes in law, approves the budget presented by the government, monitors and uses executive power via Ministries.
El Kurultai consists of 150 members who are elected every four (4) years to present the people of the Republic. The elections are compulsory for all residents of the Republic, although this is not enforced in any ways. Although the state is a representative parliamentary democracy, there is also a guaranteed group representation of population groups by law. The reason for this is to manage and prevent conflict between the various groups of different ethnicities, religions, languages and other societies. The constitution states that the State Assembly of the New Altai Republic (El Kurultai) must consist of 150 democratically elected members of which:
- 23% Must be of Russian decency
- 23% Must be of Altay decency
- 14% Must be of Germany decency
- 40% Can be of any decency residing in the Republic
Also:
- At most 15% and at least 10% Must come from the wealthiest district (район ~ Raion)
- At least 10% and at most 15% Must come from the least wealthiest disctrict (район ~ Raion)
Although the whole El Kulturaltai is responsible of decision making regarding state matters, these matters are brought up to the El Kulturaltai usually by the Committees. There are 12 Ministries in the El Kulturaltai:
- Internal Affairs, Ministry of (Security matters & environment)
- Foreign Affaris, Ministry of (Political relations)
- Finance, Ministry of (State economics)
- Trade and Economic development, Ministry of
- Education, Ministry of (Education, Science)
- Welfare, Ministry of (Healthcare, labour, social development)
- Justice, Ministry of
- Agriculture, Ministry of
- Culture, Ministry of
- Tourism, Ministry of
- Industry, Ministry of
- Regional development, Ministry of
Current government announcements:
29 November 2010 - 02 December 2010 . National population census
07 December . 1st Budget proposal for 2011
17 January 2011 . Release of National Economic Report 2010

Aleks, Aleksania is actually on the blank AIN map. I didn't know what it looked like, so I placed a couple black pixels southeast of Fiji to represent it.

Re: New Altai Republic Archives
Greetings,
First I want to apologise for my uninformed absence from the whole community, this is due to personal life issues. Sadly also my old-laptop which contained most of New Altai-files is doomed. Yet I intend to re-apply for membership as soon as I get my life and SC4 region in order (aiming at December).
Please find [Only admins are allowed to see this link] from the government of the New Altai Republic regarding the happenings between Spring 2011 and Autumn 2011. I hope this release will be able to explain, what happened to the gem of Central Asia.
Kind Regards
Luug
