History: The Follomer mainland was colonized by American settlers in the 1800's during America's expansion westward. However these settlers did not consider their island part of the United States, and thus lived independently, unknown to the American government. Word began to spread of the colony however and more amounts of American and then European settlers arrived, mostly Scandinavian. Follomer wasn't considered an independent nation state until the early 1900's with the growth of Uniden town, the proclaimed Capital. Over time, Uniden turned into a bustling city with towns like Kristina, Dehyesha and Highton sprouting up around it. In the mid 1900's, Follomer proclaimed itself a fully independent nation with a steady international trade of raw materials and crude oil, especially to it's neighbor, Virgin Shores which was colonized on the same island continent with Follomer. Over time, Follomer expanded, joined a trade alliance with Virgin Shores and Franklin county (in the Atlantic) and quickly grew into a strong nation. More recently, Follomer participated in the Terralian War which took place between Follomer government loyalists, and anti-government radicals on the island state of Lomni, one of Follomer's small island colonies. Follomer won, although however continued to be the victim of lethal terrorist attacks from the same group. Years later, the epitome of the attacks was reached when the Follomer Liberation Front (terrorist group) staged a mass murder of innocents in Follomer's largest airport. One of the attackers (disguised as an American CIA agent) was used as a scapegoat which plunged Follomer into a military conflict with the United States. Later called the 29 Hour War, Follomer was invaded by a coalition of U.S., English, and Russian troops. The height of the invasion was reached when Follomer's capital city was attacked by ground and air. However the invasion was repulsed when Follomer's army reinforced the city, and pushed the invading troops out into the suburbs, where several smaller skirmishes took place. After 29 hours of fighting, a cease fire was called by Follomer Chancellor Tristan Archean, just after losing his younger sister to a nuclear explosion that was set off in central Follomer. The war was ended with no decisive winners and four years of peace began before the same terrorist group which instigated the war, attacked a shopping mall in the Capital city, killing dozens of innocents, with the intent to capture the Chancellor's young daughter. The plot was foiled, however more attacks took place afterward and a new war on terrorism began, ultimately ending with the death of a city mayor and arrest of several terrorist supporters. However chaos returned with the destruction of the Chancellors Tower, and total loss of power in the Capital metro area. As of now, Follomer is in the midst of a growing terrorist incursion.

Re: Approved: Observer | Follomer
Welcome and thank you for applying for associate membership!
As other members have said, you sadly cannot be a member of two unions at the same time. However, you can become an observer member, which means you get to show your City Journal here (only one thread allowed) and participate in all union events - you just can't vote or run for office.
Once again thank you for applying and once you make your decision just post it here.

Re: Approved: Observer | Follomer
Restricting a CJ to only one union isn't a very friendly rule. Not to mention renouncing the union i helped start would contradict my username. lol
If i can only be an observer, then so be it. I do not mind. I just can't see myself not being AFDES after two years.

Ummmm, how can you be in two unions anyway? What if the AFDES and AIN ever be in a war (forbid)? You can't be fighting for AFDES and AIN at the same time!

Re: Approved: Observer | Follomer
I very much doubt that. We love to roleplay as much as any other, however the guys over at AFDES are very laid back, (and kinda inactive). Nothing's been happening at all. (you should have been there for our last summit. oy.)
And it's easy, you're just in two unions at the same time. Friends all around. Heh.

Being a full member in 2 unions would be as if you were for the Allies and the Axis at the same time...
Welcome Back AFDES Ambassador!
Very beautiful CJ and region you've got there!
About your location, you don't have a map? We can make one for you if you wish to.

Re: Approved: Observer | Follomer

Re: Approved: Observer | Follomer
Okay guys... Don't push the guy.
You can be a member of both unions, an observer is a member of the union who can do everything but vote and run for elections. So you can be part of both.

I would not mind being that then. Just as long as I don't have to give up anything.

I voted yes Archean! I mean, who else could made all of that? I know your CJ is a Sci-Fi CJ, but in AIN. We can't have Sci-Fi cities and it has to be current technogoly.
