Re: Welcome and Day One
1- What side of the road does your nation drive on?
Right
2- What is the Maximum legislated speed limit in your Country? (M/KM)
In some Rural parts of the Northern and New Kadrian districts there is no maximum speed limit in the day (80mph at night), but the general rule in Aleksania is the maximum speed limit on 4+ lane highways is 75-80 mph, depending on the district, 55-60mph on 2 lane highways, 35-45mph on urban roads in commercial zones (areas where there are mostly buisnesses on the side of the road), and 25-30mph in residential areas and all unpaved roads. 15mph in parking lots, 5-10 mph on shared roads (roads for pedestrians and vehicles; allys) (Sometimes Varies, this is when nothing else is posted)
3- Do you have a national body such as a Roads and Traffic Authority, and if you do what powers/duties do they have? ADoT, maintaining and upgrading federal (interdistrict) highways and associated property (rest stops, weight stations, ect.) Most other functions are handeled on a district level.
4- What are the Urban speed limits of your roads? Single lane, Dual Carriage, Built up areas? See question 2
5- What modes of Public Road Transport does your government provide? While public transport is provided mainly on a city and county level, the federal does mandate a certain number of bus serveces a week to some iscolated areas that would otherwise have none. (similar to what the US government does with air transport in parts of Alaska)

Re: Welcome and Day One
1- What side of the road does your nation drive on?
Left
2- What is the Maximum legislated speed limit in your Country? (M/KM)
22% of Killorglin's roads are derestricted in terms of speed limits under the Derestriction of Rural Roads Order 1977 and 2004. The highest speed limit is 80mph or 130km/h on sections of the Motorway (M4/N4).
3- Do you have a national body such as a Roads and Traffic Authority, and if you do what powers/duties do they have?
Roads Service, an agency under the Ministry of Regional Development maintains and 100% funds all Motorway and National 'N' Class roads. The Roads Service is also responsible for funding 55% of Regional 'R' Class roads and assisting with gritting/salting of such roads in winter in conjunction with Local Government. Local/Link 'L' Class roads are 10% funded by Roads Service with the rest of funding and maintenance carried out by Local Government and/or Parish Councils. All other unclassified roads are funded and maintained by local landowners or Parish Councils.
4- What are the Urban speed limits of your roads? Single lane, Dual Carriage, Built up areas?
* LGVs are long goods vehicles under a gross weight of 6 tonnes but also includes cars towing a trailer/caravan or buses with less than 20 seats. HGVs are heavy goods vehicles over a gross weight of 6 tonnes and includes coaches/buses with more than 12 passenger seats.
Killorglin applies the National Speed Limit System, meaning that other than the speed limits below no others may be applied without special authority from the Minister for Regional Development.
BUILT UP AREAS/RURAL SCHOOL AREAS - 20mph (20mph - LGVs/HGVs)
SINGLE CARRIAGEWAY RURAL - 60mph (50mph - LGVs/HGVs)
DUAL CARRIAGEWAY URBAN - 50mph (50mph - LGVs / 40mph HGVs)
DUAL CARRIAGEWAY RURAL - 70mph (50 mph - LGVs/HGVs)
MOTORWAY - 70mph, selected trial sections 80mph (60mph LGVs / 50 mph HGVs)
DERESTRICTED (Denoted by a black X sign) - A safe and reasonable speed for road conditions/driving ability (Safe and reasonable speed for road conditions/driving ability also applies for LGVs. Although HGVs are not permitted on such roads except for access)
5- What modes of Public Road Transport does your government provide
Public transport is provided via government owned company Translink which owns Metro Bus (bus services in Bunratty and surround), Goldline (Luxury Express bus services between major towns), National Bus (local and main bus services across Killorglin between towns), Iánrodd Cill Orlgan (operates and maintains the 3 rail lines) and Ceangail (connect in english - light rail system in Bunratty).
New underground tunnels are being built to make better use of Ceangail by extending its two lines to four and connecting it with the heavy rail Iánrodd Cill Orlgan allowing commuters to change at major stations and use Ceangail to complete their onward journeys within Bunratty).
