Cattala | Christmas Banquet, Queen's Speech and New Year Ball
Tonight the annual Christmas Banquet is underway in Cape Almae, as preparations for the Queen's Speech continue. Over 200 guests, including prominent politicians, are in Almae town for the feast this evening, and early tomorrow morning Her Royal and Holy Majesty Queen Alexandra is due to travel to Cape Point, where she will join the rest of the Royal Family for Christmas Lunch. Tonight over 1.1 million Cattalians are expected to attend midnight mass, with an expected 100,000 taking part in the Celeste Mass, led by the Divina Anima. Traditionally the rest of the Royal Family attend Midnight Mass, whilst the Queen is at the banquet, and she attends both Christmas Day masses in Cape Point.
At 16:00 tomorrow, the Queen's Speech will broadcast on all Cattalian channels - as part of their broadcasting license agreement - with a global audience of over 4 million expected to watch the pre-recorded broadcast tomorrow. Historically, the Cattalian Royal Broadcast has followed the broadcast from Queen Elizabeth II, which is held at 15:00 every year.

Re: Cattala | Christmas Banquet, Queen's Speech and New Year Ball
2011 Ball ready as New Year begins across the world
As 2011 begins in Arcacia, Calaré and Fornax, preparations for the 2011 Ball have been finished ahead of tonight's highlight event. Every year the Royal Family hosts the ball in the Royal Opera House in Celeste, as one thousand members of high society in the Holy Regno celebrate a new year with the monarchs.
The Ball is the most highly-anticipated new year event in Cattala, and this year a waterside platform has been constructed alongside the Opera House, that the guests can view the spectacular fireworks displays. The platform has been constructed so that the guests can see both the Celeste display and the Jennai display, along the coast.
Celeste and Jennai are competing this year for the biggest display, and each city is expected to spend up to US$6 million on their fireworks displays, over double what they spent 2 years ago.
