Re: Arcacia VII
Here is a blank map of the new Arcacia. City locations are mostly undecided. To give you a sense of scale, it is 40km from East to West, 36km North to South. The current Arcacia is a 16km square.

I suggest that the largest cities are in shelter harbours and bays

Re: Arcacia VII
I have successfully loaded the new map into SimCity4 and am now able to provide an overview.
It is now ready to build. The next update will be in a few days, once Providence has been built.

Re: Arcacia VII
Yes, did it all myself. There is a story behind this. The landform is based on a group of rocks that appear at low tide in Parramatta River that I used to play on as a kid. This was the original inspiration for Arcacia. What you're seeing is how Arcacia was always meant to look, but before now I lacked the tools and the know-how to make it happen.
In only 2 days it has been reborn in it's original form. Providence is back where it belongs and the whole country has a much more organic shape.
What really surprised me was just how easy it was and how well it all worked. Editing the config bitmap was easy and SC4 Terraformer loaded it with no trouble. I then used a satellite image of the afore mentioned rock formation and a grid reference to transpose the coastline. Then, doing the terrain was another easy task.
Finally, the acid test - would such a large map (10x9 large cities) load into SC4? It did - without any trouble. I then opened each city, added trees and saved it. Bingo. Ready to build.
Over the coming weeks there will be update after update after update as I build Arcacia's cities. More than likely you will see an update every day or two from here in, until the whole country is complete, something that should take about 6-8 weeks, though I intend not to rush things.
Arcacia VII is now alive and replaces the old version of Arcacia that has been in operation for about 2 years. There was so much I wasn't happy with, not least the complete lack of space. No worries here, this new version has easily 4 times as much land, possibly more.
As I mentioned, this version is representative of the genesis of Arcacia and is therefore the definitive version. It is the culmination of 18 years of imagination.
A couple of items of housekeeping - The following districts no longer exist: Yorke Bay (now called the Isle of Yorke) and the Northern Islands (now called the Cyrene Islands). The city of Brooklyn no longer exists, so no further reference will be made to it, nor will any further reference be made to the defunct districts. There are 2 new districts, Bronx Province and the Pioneer Islands. Both Saint Vincent and Lycanthia are unaffected and will continue to operate as normal.
The Isle of Yorke will adopt the flag of Yorke Bay and the Cyrene Islands will adopt the flag of the Northern Islands. New flags for Bronx Province and the Pioneer Islands will be produced. Arcacia's national flag will not change, though the stars will henceforth only be in reference to the Southern Cross and will no longer represent the districts. Arcacia's national coat of arms will be modified.

Re: Arcacia VII
Here is a sneek peek of Providence. It is taking longer than expected to complete, but, as I said, I'm not rushing things. The CBD is now finished and I am now in the process of building the suburbs and metro.
The City Centre is pretty much the same as it always was
Downtown is bigger and taller
Providence still maintains the same old-world feel
Littel Taipei is still in Downtown, opposite the Arcacian Stock Exchange (ARCEX)
Located right next to Downtown, the brand new transport interchange allows passengers to move easily between rail, bus, coach, metro and Olympic Park monorail.
Capitol Square, located on Capitol Island, is another feature that hasn't changed much.
The Lodge is also the same.
As you can see, much of Providence is still the same as it was, but it is much bigger. It is expected to be Arcacia's biggest city, as was always intended. There are new features, made possible my the massive increase in space available.

You'll have to wait, I'm afraid. I will say this, though - the best is yet to come.
