Media and Press Portal Reform Empty Media and Press Portal Reform

Post by Thomas 24th February 2011, 19:00

The latest updates on the Media and Press Portal Reform will be posted here.

Currently I plan to:

- Rename the "Global Announcements" forum as "Union Announcements" and move all non-union related threads to the Social Lounge.

- Create four new forums for regional media - Asia, the Americas, Europe and Oceania which will replace the current Newspapers forum. This will allow all nations to have Media threads, such as shown in the Media | Corraile and Media | Cattala forums.

-Axe the "Website News" forum and archive all the threads.

- Axe the "Individual Media Stations" forum, and move all national TV stations threads into the relevant regional media forum, or archive outdated ones. Move all "Music Battles" to the Games forum.

- Axe the "Union News" forum and archive all the threads. Move relevant threads to "Union Announcements" forum, and archive outdated threads.

- Hand over Moderator Control to the new Minister for Culture, Arts and Sport and discuss possible Ministerial Control of the Media and Press Portal with the MCAS.

So, before I do all of this, do you all agree with the changes and should the Media and Press Portal become a department of the MCAS?

Media and Press Portal Reform complete. Apologies about it going offline this afternoon.
The Media and Press Portal is also now under the control of the Minister for Culture, Arts and Sports. Therefore once they are sworn in, that minister is in control of developments of the forum, and can introduce Arts and Cultural events into the forum.

It has also been moved slightly up the forums and is now known as the Media and Announcement Centre. If anyone has any better name suggestions, just post below. Smile
