Is there anyway to convince you to apply Yucatan here?

Re: Official Resignation from AIN
I'm very sorry to see you go Rupert, and I have to be honest that I'm not exactly happy at the moment. We've lost two members in as many days now, and it looks like a third wants to leave too. I understand that other unions may look good to people from a distance, but being part of this union is a massive opportunity and it may often appear the grass is greener on the other side; however this summer will see some pretty big events happening and some great interactive roleplays (both military and non-military) are being planned as we speak for our most active period.
Members leaving due to real life issues and those who leave for a period to pursuit other projects will always be welcomed back into the union. What is annoying here and what a number of senior members are unhappy about is the way our partnership with the USNW is being used as some kind of one-way membership transfer. Our links with the UNSW is to make both unions fun for their own members by supporting each other and interacting. Yes I want to support them as they grow, but this partnership isn't about the AIN shedding members to the USNW.
It is inappropriate to leave for the UNSW and expect to be able to transfer back to the AIN without a hitch. I would like to make clear that it may be a difficult path for you to come back.

I would like to affirm that we believe in a long and fruitful relationship with the Alliance of Independent Nations. We don't entirely appreciate the idea of a "test drive" in another union, and would much prefer that members of any union join that union with commitment to being a member for a period of time. I would also like to highly discourage jumping back and forth between unions, it is best to choose a "home" for yourself and stay there, because constant trading of members is not good for either union or for that matter the person who is constantly flip-flopping.
I would also like to echo the warning Thomas gave. When switching unions often there is a risk that a return to the original union may not be greeted by an entirely warm response.

I would like to say that I too want a long lasting and good relationship between our unions. I don't believe in this union testing either, and I've expressed that to Rupert, and I've also warned him that he probably won't be getting back into AIN very easily, if at all. I've discussed this with Rupert, and he knows what he is doing, and as he said, it is his decision.
I will be discussing this privately with the government of the AIN before I say anything further.
