Well it'll be strange to say that California is a Mediterranean Nation or the region of Perth is Mediterranean. For me, when I head the term Mediterranean Nation, I only think about the sea, that it is in the sea or touches the sea. If we talk about the climate then I'll say Mediterranean Climate Nations

California and Perth I don't regard as Mediterranean. However Portugal I do because it's part of Iberia, one of the three main Mediterranean peninsulas.

But, we digress. Let's get back on topic.

I think it is very healthy to discuss this things because will give us the best perception of the world and geography.
