Seattle
Since I expect to do a lot of work on Seattle this summer in preparation for my upcoming Simlympic bid, I'm giving the city its own thread!
First, a look at the downtown waterfront. It's mostly finished, but there are still some WIP areas (like most of downtown itself ).
The Liberty Eye of Seattle, a sister ferris wheel to the one in Palmona, Illu'a. The lot textures will be changed to match the MAPP lots.
Seattle's central ferry terminal. For those interested, it's actually the San Francisco Ferry Terminal, which isn't on any exchange (it's a LEX DVD exclusive). The Maxis plazas will be replaced with custom ones.

Re: Seattle
Looks excellent Zack. I'm not sure about the ferry terminal, I think it would be better in a W2W waterfront environment. The dark tiles and dark building don' seem to fit in with the clean-brick style of the area.

It's right here:Blakeway4 wrote:Where's the Space Needle!
Thanks for your thoughts, Thomas. I really want to keep this ferry terminal here, so I'll see if I can find some good warehouses I can use as transitions from the dark building to the lighter surroundings.Thomas wrote:Looks excellent Zack. Well, we'll just have to wait and see how things play out...Huston wrote:Great stuff! But after yeh mentioned the oct. Simlympics, u got competition...((razz)) but the more the merrier and better stuff for the union!
Thanks to all of you for your compliments! Here's a wider shot of the developing waterfront and downtown:
Work continues on the Seattle Center. The pedestrian walkways are so complicated, I'll have to make plenty more textures to complete my vision. Good thing school's out - no work to worry about! Next up in the park will be the Illu'an peace garden, complete with a fountain memorializing the Puget Sound War (check out its wiki article!).

Oh wow! It looks much better from that angle! Do you want that to feature on the Union Banner? That's a wonderful image. I can actually see that being a city in America...
