Bidding Information
Hi everyone
Bidding for the IV Alliance Summer Games will open shortly.
This year the AGF is trying something new with the Bidding Process, unlike in previous Summer Games where the list of sports that the Alliance Summer Games covered were almost identical to the Simlympics and in some cases well above the number of sports included in the Simlympics. This year the AGF has decided to limit the number of sports at the Alliance Summer Games to 27.
The NEW part to the Bidding process is that the AGF has concluded for the time being a list of approved sports, which is broken into two parts and can be found here (Approved Summer Sports List). The two parts of the list are categorised as Core and Optional. The 21 Core sports will be included at every Alliance Summer Games and from the Optional list 6 sports will be selected for each Alliance Summer Games held. The AGF will select 3 of the Optional sports and for the very first time the successful Host City Candidate will get to choose 3 sports to be held at their Games. I feel that this will encourage more people to bid for the rights to host the Games and also give the Games more variety and hopefully make more people participate in the Alliance Games which is quickly overtaking the Simlympics as the premier sporting competition in the Sim world.
More information will come in the next couple of days in regards to the requirements of Bidding Cities.
Thank you
Jo
