Bidding for the IV Alliance Summer Games

It is with great pleasure that the Alliance Games Federation would like to announce that bidding for the IV Alliance Summer Games is now open.
Bidding is open to all Member States and Associate Member States of the Alliance who wish to bid. Bidding Cities must be endorsed by the National Alliance Games Association (AGA) of the Bidding Country.

Those countries wishing to bid for the Games must open a new thread on behalf of their AGA's chosen bid city for example: Calaréann Alliance Games Association: Duvall 2011 etc

To be successful in the bidding process the bidding city must be/have the following:

- A Bid Logo and Bid Slogan
- A Large city of at least 450,000 (exemptions may be granted by the AGF)
With plenty of attractions, and things for visitors to do.
- Alliance Village
Where the Athletes will stay
- Alliance Park
Where some of the main stadiums will be located
-Media Centre
Where the press from around the Alliance will broadcast from
- Hotels
High quality hotels for guests and press to stay in
- Transportation
Very reliable transportation between the venues is needed, as well as an International Airport. Good connections around the entire city are also needed.

At these Alliance Summer Games the AGF has designated that 28 sports will be competed in. The 21 core sports and their requirements are listed below. The AGF has chosen 3 of the remaining 6 Optional sports, with the remaining 3 Optional sports to be chosen and announced in the bid documentation of each bid city. The sports chosen by bidding cities come with additional requirements listed below for each Optional sport. Once the 3 Optional Sports for each city have been published in the Bid documentation they cannot be changed.

The three (3) Optional Sports that the AGF has chosen for competition at the IV Alliance Summer Games will be:

Road Cycling to take place through the streets and surrounding countryside of the host city

Fencing
To take place in an indoor arena

Football - Soccer
A few Football (Soccer) stadiums will be needed to ensure the group matches can take place without any problems. It's perfectly fine to have some of these in other cities besides the host city.

An indoor arena is needed.

A Football/Soccer stadium is an ideal location, until a Field Hockey Stadium BAT is available.

(Swimming, Cycling and Running)
The Triathlon is traditionally done in the following manner: Swim is done in the sea, then the Athletes Cycle and Run through the city.

Notes:
More than one Indoor Arena will be needed, it is very hard to fit all the needed sports into one arena.

Please, bare in mind that this is by no means the definitive "what you need" - it is far more of a helping hand for anyone that is stuck.
If, for instance, you don't use Stadium X for Sport Y (as suggested here) it will have no effect on your chances of winning the right to host whatsoever, after all it is uniqueness that wins .

The more creative, professional and realistic your bid the greater the chances of your bid succeeding.

The AGF would like to wish all those who bid for the Alliance Summer Games the best in their endeavours.

Any question please email the AGF at the following address agf@aoinmail.eu

Bidding for the IV Alliance Summer Games will close on the 16th of August 2011 (no exceptions)
