Re: Constituent Assembly 2011
FIRST RESULT : SOCIALIST WINNER ?
This is the big news of the day! Socialist Party is probably winner of constituent election (within 70% of vote). If official result will be published this day in 6:30 pm (Giant Bay and French time > UTC +1), Conservative Party has already recognized this morning his defeat. With the possible coalition Liberal-Socialist for fundamental economic right and them mutual vision of Senate, Religion, etc... for future Constitution, this is a big reverse for the ruling party.
For the future, the transfer of power will take place Thursday (possible news if I have a Internet connection). And to finish, the provisional result within 70% and after rounding:
Socialist Party = 25 %
Conservative Party = 23 %
Party of the United Right = 12.5 %
Democrats Party = 11.5 %
Party of the Sustainable Future and Ecologic = 8.5 %
National Alliance of Federalism = 7.5 %
Social Conservative Movement = 5.5 %
Worker's Party = 3 %
Labor's Party = 1%

Re: Constituent Assembly 2011
/!\ OFFICIAL RESULTS /!\
Socialist Party Win!
2 days after vote, the "Independent Electoral Commission" give in few minutes the official result!
To person who want compare with 2010 general election:
And now, this is the new Parliament, or Constituent Assembly (effective from Thursday November 3th):
And for who wants to compare again:
COMMENT by a political expert of Giant Bay:
This election is a double defeat for Conservative Party! Indeed, it loses the title of "first" party and the coalition liberal-socialist for write economic system in the new constitution is synonym of loss of his political allies. But David Kasaoui should stay Prime Minister by interim (except if he resign) because this Assembly hasn't the power to change of P.M. (Article 2 of Constitution). So, here is now the step of future:
First step: Establishment of Chapter of Constitution
Second Step: Establishment of Article in Chapter by Chapter
Third Step: Numbering of Chapters and Articles
Fourth Step: Referendum for approved or disapproved by People
But to begin, Thursday, after the transfer of power from Constituent Assembly, this new parliament will be elect his "President", a person with absolute no power except regulate debates in Parliament.
And to finish, remember of this assembly are too the legislative power during 1 year maximum if a new Constitution haven't proclaimed while this time.
Thinks to you, see you soon

I highly doubt that you two will have any relations (maybe, but your far from each other) and just because the party is socialist, doesnt mean EVERYTHING will become socialist.

Re: Constituent Assembly 2011
Indeed SmartbyLaw, isn't Communist's party, the Socialist Party (popular in European's countries) is a Social-democracy (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Social_democracy) and Social-liberal (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Social_liberalism). His French equivalent is the Socialist Party (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Socialist_Party_%28France%29), probably the future winner in Legislative and Presidential election in June 2012
In English speaker countries, you use the term of "Socialism" for the Communism. But not in French speaker countries. For us, Socialism are very different of Communism
The election of President of Parliament (no power, just a regulate debates in Parliament) is today, 5:00 pm (utc+1). If I have a Internet connection, I published result
