GINI coefficient in the AIN
The Gini coefficient is a measure of the inequality of a distribution, a value of 0 expressing total equality and a value of 1 maximal inequality. It has found application in the study of inequalities in disciplines as diverse as sociology, economics, health science, ecology, chemistry, engineering and agriculture.
It is commonly used as a measure of inequality of income or wealth. Worldwide, Gini coefficients for income range from approximately 0.23 (Sweden) to 0.70 (Namibia) although not every country has been assessed.
In this thread, i'll try to make a list of GINI coefficient for every AIN nations.
To do so, I will read your wiki articles, learn about your nations.
Feel free to comment about your GINI coefficient! Ask for explanations.
LIST
1. Killorglin (GINI: 0.15) - Fully socialist state
2. Syldavia (GINI: 0.20) - Mixed economy with socialist government. Scandinavian type. High taxes system and public companies.
3. Arcacia (GINI: 0.28) - Utopia but home of rich people retreats
4. Cattala (GINI: 0.30) - High taxes system with high agricultural norms and requirements.
...
30. Shushtrepistaz (GINI: 0.54) - Almost fully capitalist state with high inequality in salary and a lot of privatization which results in high inequality.
Please post informations about your countries or write in your wikis so I can complete the list thank you!

Syldavia is a socialist state. Arcacia is a social democracy. Syldavia probably has a more limited private sector, meaning greater emphasis on the public sector. Arcacia has a strong private sector operating in the framework of a highly regulated market and publicly owned infrastructure, as well as strong investment in public companies. That is, companies owned by the public (such as Arcacian Airlines). This means that it's easier to get filthy stinking rich in Arcacia than in Syldavia.
This index is about distribution of wealth. A measure that, in itself, is not really a measure of quality of life. For that, the amount of wealth (GDP) and wealth per person (GDP/capita) would also need to be taken into consideration.
As purely a measure of distribution, this index is correct.
