I am constantly bored of building the same themed cities or building city styles that has been done too many times. I really need some ideas of creating a new type of city, something that no one has ever done in a while.

Anybody has any ideas for a new themed city?
(Please DO NOT say Asian, American, or European, those cities are way too easy to build. Anything challenging is fine.)

Ruins, African or Indian

How about trying to recreate a real World city that would be difficult in SC4 ... like Valletta in Malta , or Venice in Italy.

Fallout Futuristic City Ruined cities and a safe zone. that would be interesting

Hmm a post-apocalyptic city would be interesting

Yeah, radioactive ruined cities are always cool - there aren't very many of those around

Hhmmmm... Ruins seem pretty good. At the same time, the people at UNSW suggest Caribbean.

I suppose I could have one section being populated while the other is deserted.

Like putting both ideas together. Awesome

I would suggest doing some historic or futuristic stuff. Maybe futuristic Middle East or ancient Middle East, if you wanted to stick with that theme.

Or, if you want to move away, the Caribbean or a harsh Nordic island, in the Arctic but not snowy, is a good, unique idea.
