Shushtrepistaz

Shushtrepistaz, over the recent years has gone more soft on drug and drug prevention laws, where it has allowed minute changes including legalization of opium dens, even though only legal in territories and minor islands that choose for it, it has stepped away from its original ban on all drugs, including Nicotine and limits on Alcohol, the government lax at some drugs, still is trying to fight drug mafias, that continue to sell illegal drugs to people. Opium has come to recent debate, after its bad side affects, which is currently going through legislation as well as allowing Cannabis to be sold on larger islands. The government has also set a up an anti drug force to stop drug trafficking that has dropped in the recent months due to new federal powers for the anti-drug task force. Drug Trafficing is limited due to Shushtrepistaz' lack of non-ocean borders, but manages to slip through cargo ships and private aircraft. The Ukiros, more known as the largest mafia in Shushtrepistaz, has been known to get shipments into the nation via cargo ships, although this is known, drugs still manage to pass through.

Caffeine - Legal, although it is legal in every part of Shushtrepistaz, some districts have caffeine limits on food.
Nicotine/Tobacco - Legal at age 18 (Buy and Smoke), need a permit to deal - some districts have limits on alcohol
Alcohol - Legal at age 20 (buy), 18 (drink), need a permit to deal - some districts have limits on alcohol
Cannabis - Special Case - allowed in outlying islands with low populations mainly territories, Legal in islands at 22 to use, and must have a permit to buy or sell.
Heroin - Illegal
Cocaine - Illegal
Ecstasy - Illegal

Now some other drugs that were not mentioned (Just for the info)

Methamphetamine - Illegal
LSD - Illegal
Opium - Special Case, allowed in outlying islands with low populations, mainly territories, which only allow them in opium dens. Legal in islands at 24 to use, and must have a permit to buy or sell.
Psilocybin Mushrooms - Illegal
PCP - Illegal

South Uroboria

Caffeine: Legal

Nicotine/Tobacco: Legal at the age of 18 for purchase and personal use. Shops require a license to sell, otherwise its illegal and can result in short prison sentence and penalty fine. Plans to introduce plain packaging like in Australia. Illegal to smoke inside buildings excluding those with permits or private residences, smoking in vehicles or public transport is illegal and smoking can only occur 8m away from buildings.

Alcohol: Legal at the age of 18 for purchase and personal consumption. Selling alcohol to a minor can result in a short prison sentence and penalty fine. Allowing minors to drink alcohol in private or in a religious building is legal, but supplying a minor with alcohol that allows them to go over the drink-drive limit can result in same penalty as selling alcohol to a minor. Many town piazzas and parks are designated alcohol free zones where it will be confiscated and the persons in possession will be fined.

Cannabis: Illegal. Class Three Drug - 3 year prison sentence for production/supply, fine and at least 100 hours of "local service" for possession.
Heroin: Illegal. Class One Drug - 10-15 year prison sentence for production/supply, 5 years for possession.
Cocaine: Illegal. Class Two Drug - 5 year prison sentence for production/supply, 2 years for possession.
Ecstasy: Illegal. Class One Drug.

All persons arrested and charged for drug offences must partake in a series of strict anti-drug and anti-addiction courses. Cattala has in recent years reformed its drug policies and prevention methods towards the Swedish model.

Alliance Drug Watch Empty Re: Alliance Drug Watch

Post by Neil 9th December 2011, 01:52

In Killorglin, the majority of substances were decriminalised in 2002, meaning that 'users' are not punished for possession and laws for 'dealers' are more lax, focusing on monetary fines, control orders (preventing them from entering certain areas) and seizures - commerical production and organised crime carry much more serious punishment including heavy fines and 12 months - 6 years in prision. Since then drug related crime (not including possession or intent to supply) is down 81% and medical admissions due to overdoses of decriminalised drugs is down 66%. Focus on 'users' is more on making it less and less socially acceptable to take drugs and more on addressing their addiction through round the clock residential care and addiction treatment.

Cannabis was legalised in 2005, it is provided commercially by the state (as are most commodities in Killorglin) for sale in licensed bars, clubs, pubs, tobacconists and chemists. Consumption is prohibited in public workplaces, schools, hospital grounds and on the street (though it is permitted in public parks). Heavy penalties exist for intent to supply and illegal production.

The age of full responsibility in Killorglin is 16, at this age it is legal to purchase alcohol, cannabis and tobacco.

Caffeine: Legal, though some high caffeine energy drinks carry health warnings
Nicotine/Tobacco: Legal - 16 to buy, smoking only permitted in hotels, bars, clubs and pubs (not if they serve food), outdoors 10 metres from building entrances, in decidcated smoking rooms (with local authority certification) and in private homes. Smoking in a moving vehicle is banned.
Alcohol: Legal - 16 to buy, Drinking is socially acceptable from a young age (around 10) and this helps to prevent alcoholism in later years. Children under 16 are permitted to consume alcohol in licensed premises (restaurants, bars, clubs and pubs) when accompanied by an adult before 9pm or in private premises. Public drinking is frowned upon and is illegal in some areas (punishable with a £60 on the spot fine), minors drinking in the street or who are intoxicated will have the alcohol seized and will be reported/taken home to their parents.
Cannabis: Legal -16 to buy, as with smoking it is only permitted outdoors 10m from building entrances, in private homes and in establishments which have a Cannabis License from their local authority.
Heroin/Cocaine/Ecstasy: Decriminalised - Usage banned in public, those with personal amounts of this substance on them will not be charged but instead have a recorded warning, after 3 warnings or getting arrested for another crime whilst under the influence of these drugs will mean an arrest will be made for Misuse of Controlled Substances and a court order will admit them into a hospital for rehabilitation therapy or a day-clinic for addiction (depending on extent of use/crimes and its physical/mental/psychological effects on the user).

Llithustania.

Caffeine: Legal.

Nicotine/Tobacco: Legal at age 18 for purchase, personal use.
Retailers selling Tobacco must be licensed to sell this drug to consumers. Those smoking this substance must be at least 8 meters from building entrances and can be smoked in licensed and permitted buildings. Anyone caught smoking in areas no permitted will often be fined a minimum of US$ 120 unless there is a viable reason.

Alcohol: Legal at the age of 20 for purchase and consumption.
Alcohol is only to be consumed in areas permitted and licensed. If there are any violations to this, and is consumed publicly in non-permitted locations, violators will be fined at a minimum of US$110. If a business is found to have a faulty license or has not obtained a license will be taken to court and can be at risk of being fined US$400,000 or serve 20 years imprisonment. If a business violates and sells to under aged patrons, they will be fined US$ 10,000 or revoked of their license

Cannabis: Legal: North & South Toltaria, Bjornstaadt, Bauitelle and Vijlekfodev Illegal: Alverona, Crovakia, Central Llithustania, Dominica, West Iberia, Mevrco, Alyrian Isle and New England.
*The Federal government of Llithustania put this issue under the radar of states, and would regard to state authorities whether to legalize Cannabis in their region specifically or not. This began during 1921 (Before then, Cannabis was Illegal Federally) and states changed their status and opinions towards it's availability and admission in the country's states. If Cannabis is smuggled into a state which restricts the possession
of the drug, the patron will prosecuted and be imprisoned for 6 years.

Heroin: Illegal in all states.
This specific drug was never permitted anywhere in the country, and no state in Llithustania has allowed possession of this drug. Being caught possessing Heroin anywhere in the country results in the fine of US$ 50,000 or imprisonment for 10 years.

Cocaine: Illegal in all states.
This specific drug was also never permitted anywhere in the country, and
no state in Llithustania has allowed possession of this drug. Being
caught possessing Coccaine/Methamphetamine anywhere in the country results in the fine of
US$ 50,000 or imprisonment for 15 years.

Ecstasy: Legal: Mevrco, Vijlekfodev, New England, Central Llithustania and Bauitelle. Illegal: North & South Toltaria, Alyrian Isle, Alverona, Bjornstaadt, West Iberia, Crovakia and Dominica.
Ecstasy has been deemed by some state governments and have considered the drug and legalized it in their regions. Some states regarded it as not to be as "lethal" and have allowed its use under certain circumstances. Applying to all states which have legalized the drug, the patron must be 25 to purchase and certain businesses can be permitted at once to sell to consumers as licenses have been limited to businesses.
Those states that have illegalized have deemed it to be quite dangerous and too much of any point for governments to handle. If Ecstasy is smuggled into a state which restricts the possession of the drug, the patron will prosecuted and be imprisoned for 5 years.

_______________________________________________________________________________

Antarida

Caffeine: Legal.

Nicotine/Tobacco: Legal at age 18 for purchase and personal use.
Handling similar to Llithustanian states

Alcohol: Legal at the age of 18 for purchase and consumption.
Handling similar to Llithustanian states

Cannabis: Illegal.
Cannabis was restricted in Antarida before it gained sovereignty. It was legal in the country before 1967 when Antarida's former state government passed the law. Ever since it has been illegal and the possession of Cannabis can lead to 18 years in prison.

Heroin: Illegal.
Handling similar to Llithustanian states

Cocaine:
Illegal.
Handling similar to Llithustanian states

Ecstasy:
Illegal.
Restricted from possession of Ecstasy anywhere in the country.

Corraile

Caffeine is legal

Nicotine and tobacco are legal in Corraile, to persons over the age of 18.
However, the sale of tobacco sources, such as cigarettes, is strictly controlled to legal sources. A 15% tax is levelled on cigarettes. Restrictions also apply as to where smoking is legal (e.g must be more than 5m from a building entrance)

Alcohol is legal to persons over the age of 18.

Cannabis, Heroin, Cocaine, Ecstasy are illegal in Corraile. Possession or consumption of such substances can result in a jail sentence.

Lanaya

Caffeine is legal

Nicotine or Tobacco in the form of cigarettes is illegal, effective January 2012. Other sources such as nicotine patches are still legal, but only for persons over the age of 18.

Alcohol is legal for persons aged above 18 years

Cannabis, Heroin, Cocaine, Ecstasy are illegal in Lanaya. Possession or consumption of such substances can result in a jail sentence.

The Republic of Marquette's Drug Policies:
Caffeine: legal
Nicotine/ Tobacco: legal to ages 18+, but smoking is banned in many public areas such as restuarants, school campuses, government areas, and many cities and towns have designated smoking areas.
Alcohol: Legal ages 21+, strict regulation on drinking and driving, also must show a valid ID to purchase, only sold to people thatt meet the ageand ID requirements.
Cannabis, Heroine, Cocaine, Ectasy: All are strictly prohibited, if caught in posession a $1,000 fine for first offense, and jail time up to 5 years for repeat offenders. The smuggleing of drugs into and out of the country is carefully watched and monitored by the Marquette Health and Drug Administration (MHDA).

Public schools provide a drug safety class that all children must take from 4th grade through 8th grade. Local police departments talk to the students about the effects. Since starting the program, illegal drug use has dropped 20% in the last 4 years.
