Get things together...
Hi all,
I understand there has been a lot a tension recently between our two unions. Accusations have been flying about and some uncivilites have been exchanged between certain members. I am beginning to get fed up with it, this is making both our unions look very bad in front of the whole community and I think it is about time we make amends.
Firstly I would like to invite all members over to our forums to take part in our off-topic discussions, forum games, exclusive CJs and various other things. Of course, our registration system is broke but if you email me on administrator@e-cofr.org or neil18.moore@googlemail.com with a username i'll get you sorted.
Secondly, I think it would be great if we could have a little COFR-AIN get-together on MSN to get to know each other better and break the ice a bit, either Max or myself will be arranging this. (Add me - neil18.moore@googlemail.com)
Thirdly, the COFR chancellery would like to hold a summit with the AIN equivalent about improving diplomatic relations further.
and Finally, I have spoken to the COFR about this: but can we stop talking about each other in such a bad light? Yes, there was a disagreement in the COFR with an AIN member, and yes I admit it got blown out of proportion. But it has damaged the reputation of the COFR and AIN, so let's all go along...
Regards,
Neil
Chancellor of the COFR

Re: Get things together...
Neil,
Thank you so much for coming here and speaking on behalf of COFR. We would like to thank you for your initiative on making peace with AIN. I think that it is possible, the damage is not that big and can definitely be fixed.
In regards to your first offer, likewise, we would like for COFR members to come and visit our forums!
Second, I think the summit is a great idea. I'll wait to see what the others think before we say yes
Hoping to make for a better future with you all,
Peter

The summit would be restricted to the chancellery of the COFR (Chancellor (Me), First Minister (Alex) and Head of Cabinet (Chris)) and the AIN high government (President, VP and 3rd in command)

Re: Get things together...
considering I was a major catalyst to the conflict I think it would make sense for me to attend too, as would it make sense for Aran to attend...

Ok I think this should now be open to everyone, considering the amount of interest.
Anyone got uideas for a date/time?

Re: Get things together...
I was hoping we could do this on either our forum, the COFR forum or a nuetral forum rather than MSN, AIM, or YIM because it's difficult to get everyone together at the same time given the world wide nature of our community.
If we put asside perhaps a weekend, either this weekend or next weekend where we can have sort of a show and tell. Like what the AIN is planning with our expo but just a little smaller, sort of a picture of what you're working on in your country and everyone can comment make suggestions and such along with discussion about what's comming up in the unions and what has worked or not worked and bounce ideas off each other in an informal 2 day thing.

Re: Get things together...
It is, but I think it would be beneficial for us to just sort of socialize to help build relations

Re: Get things together...
Since I'm the one that cause these troubles, I think it's best for me to attend the summit.
However, I can only make it on Fridays 11 am to 6 pm, and on Saturdays 6 am to Sundays 2 pm. Timings are in GMT +0.

Re: Get things together...
I'm free from Thursday afternoon to Tuesday, so this weekend would be nice
I suggest having a two-day open discussion on the COFR forums
Also, is someone hosting the billateral summit? If someone's hosting it, I would like to bid

Sorry but I laughed at the basic irony of that ::

Re: Get things together...
it is kinda funny. i can get to it but it keeps popping up any time i click on anything that "this site contains malicious software"
Re: Get things together...
Actually the site has no viruses at all from what I recall.
As Mike said one time it was due to some dodgy coding eror in the programming of the forum itself. The Site is perfectly safe for access and throughout my expereicne on there is virus-free.

I like the idea but the problem is that we don't want non members involved in the discussions and we don't want to advertise the unions as having issues in any way shape or form, even if they are minor disagreements like this. My suggestion is let's create a temporary forum, neutral of either union and just discuss things there

hahahaha funny. really.
And I suggest we hold this on the COFR site - we have a chatroom we all can use, we use it for ours summits. We can have an msn-style conversation without using msn Just the COFR chatroom.
Also, regarding the virus: the virus was never really in effect - the coding was there but it was a iframe which means you would get re-directed to another page. Seeing as nothing of the sort is happening, the virus is not actually a virus

I too can guarantee that there are no viruses at COFR website.
So, when's the summit most likely going to be held?
