Shipyards of Aleksania (SOA)

About Us.

Founded in 1821 by Valdimire Brezev under the name Breznev Yards in Port Peter I, it struggled to stay alive until the United States purchesd Aleksania in the Alaska Purches. The following year, Breznev Yards was rewarded a contract to build the 3 ships that were to make up the Aleksanian Defense Fleet and to maintain the ships of the US Pacific fleet stationed in Aleksania. In 1880, Breznev Yards, now a sucessful ship building company, bought out local shipbuilders William & Sons Yards and Johnson Maratime Industries, and the local shiping company, Aleksania Lines, renaming itself Shipyards of Aleksania, and vertualy eliminating all compotition.

Throughout the 1920's, SOA prospered. But then in 1930, after the communist revolution, SOA was nationalized.
