Format
Similar to the Academy Awards, the AFA's will be awarding the awards to the best films of 2009 from around the world. Three weeks prior to the live telecast, the union suggest and votes on nominees of their respective categories. The winners are announced in the live telecast. The AFA's is an event for union members to discover and discuss movies from around the world.
