what do you mean? The forum is set so that if you do upload a picture bigger than 800 px, it is resized to a smaller size so that people with slow internet connection can see the picture quicker. There's a link at the top of each resized picture so that you can see the full size picture.

Yes Peter, that's what I meant, so the politic of no 800 pixels and more pics aren't allowed is not necessary?

I think so. Otherwise it's too wide for the forum and gets cut-off.

I don't think it does get cut-off, it just resizes it and makes it smaller.

Because I have a wide screen monitor, I have no problem viewing wider pictures, but for the benefit for those who have the standard screen monitor, the 800px width limit should remain.

However, because this forum have a feature which "resize" the too wide pics to 800px, the 800px width limit should be removed if this special feature remains.

I think that we should just recommend that the pictures be no more than 800, but since we already have the resizing feature, I think that we dont need to really implement that rule.

I agree well, but the poster should just take aware if they preview the work and the size of the screen is bigger than it appears. Common sense should tell them to re-size it.

With the automatic resizing feature, I concur with the others that the 800px limit would be better as a strong recommendation than a bannable offense. It does seem rather extreme to ban someone just for posting something that will get resized anyway.
