Well, to start, I think its important for us to list likely exports. Currently, Ainkien and the Nalsas have a common trade policy and a common currency, but I will list exports separately for sake of explanation

Ainkien's Exports:

Electronic products, including parts for computers, TVs; medical imaging devices; remote sensing and GPS devices.
Services and software for financial services, media (TV), weather satellite software, computer animation for film and television.
Agriculture: apples, watermelons, muskmelons, peaches wine (mostly known for whites, but making in-roads on rosés), beer (in addition to microbrews, Heineken International also has a brewery that makes Newcastle Brown Ale and Fosters for North America) corn, potatoes, squash, wheat, oats, cheese, beef, lamb, chicken. 30% of products are certified organic. Organic oatmeal, trail mix, granola bars and cereal are also exported. There is also a major natural vitamin and medicinal herb company that exports its products world wide.
Other items: model trains, musical instruments (several companies producing string, percussion, brass and woodwind instruments, but two specialise in marching band/drum corps instruments); band uniforms and medical professions clothing, hybrid transit buses and wind turbine components.

Nalsa Islands:

Electonic products, similar to Ainkien, but especially GPS units and stereos for vehicles (partial assembly with components from Japan, Malaysia and China)
Pharmaceuticals -some production of medicines, but limited compared with Ainkien. Dental floss, and Pacific Green organic hygene products.
Services - financial, some communications satellite software development.
Agriculture: apples, melons, kiwifruit, grapes, peaches, apricots, cherries, wheat, squash, eggplant, onions, garlic, beef, lamb, chicken, wine (balance of reds and whites, but especially pinot noir), cheese and nori. 35% of items are certified organic.

Other products: reusable water bottles, mineral water, surf boards, kayaks, hiking gear, mountain bikes, sails (for ships), solar cells, office paper, books (one publisher), fishing gear, and luggage.

Other than a very limited amount of by two small quarries in the Nalsas for local use, Ainkien does not export any geologic/mineral resource products.

Economic picture not related to imports and exports:

Tourism is very important, as is investment banking, research and development (particularly in medicine, biotechnology, alternative energy, transit bus design). Also, visitors from other countries will travel to Ainkien to study or receive health care in private hospitals. Ainkienian (and Nalsa Islands) firms also practice word wide in consulting for architecture, urban design and planning, healthcare management, education management, financial planning, and banking.
