Hawaii is a state. And if ya wanna add Alaska its in the same boat. USA says there located in North America. The contiguous United States which is 48 States. Alaska and Hawaii are the only 2 that aren't in the contiguous US. So U.S. is North America. if they did it your way it would be. North America, Pacific, and Arctic
