Re: National Budgets
According to Google, the GDP of Portugal is $243.5 Billion.
243.5 Billion divided by 3 = about 81.167 Billion.
(all in USD. It's :AINERO: 27.0557 Billion)

The population of Illu'a is going to be 5,862,836.
5,862,836 times :AINERO: 13,197 is :AINERO: 81,593,088,612 (Washington State GDP per capita used)
Alternatively,
5,862,836 times :AINERO: 11,889 is :AINERO: 69,703,257,204 (Oregon GDP per capita used)
One of these will be the new official Illu'a budget. Which one would be more realistic in your opinion?

I think the first one - it's more realistic for your city sizes.

Re: National Budgets
With that, the final official Budget of Illu'a is now :AINERO: 81,593,088,612. In real life, this places Illu'a between Thailand and Finland according to the International Monetary Fund+CIA World Factbook, and between the United Arab Emirates and Finland according to the World Bank.
Miguel, are you considering changing your budget? It's a tad unrealistic based on your location and country size. 1/3 of Portugal's GDP might suit you better.

Re: National Budgets
Lower Columbia's budget/GDP is :AINERO: 2,924,162,225,659.15.
Here's how I got that figure:
I took the GDP per capita figure from this page, which gives me statistics for the NationStates version of LCO. I then multiplied the dollar figure for the GDP per capita by the population I use when roleplaying as Lower Columbia (49,539,602) to get the total GDP in Lower Columbian coulombs. Finally, I multiplied this figure by the coulomb-AINERO exchange rate, which is ₡1 = :AINERO: 0.71. If you're wondering why I went with such a huge GDP per capita (₡41,909 = $89,266), it's because Lower Columbia is a very wealthy nation, and I wanted to have a very high GDP per capita to reflect this. So I decided that the GDP per capita figure on the page I linked to above was really in coulombs, not dollars. This method gives LCO the third-highest GDP per capita in the world according to the CIA World Factbook, after Liechtenstein and Qatar, and before Luxembourg.

wats the population and size of LC I mean ur talking about a budget of over two trillion ainero... which is multiple times ahead of other ain countries..
Re: National Budgets
While I'm not sure what kind of "size" you're requesting, the population of Lower Columbia, as I said in my previous post, is 49,539,602. I explained everything as best I could in that post.

It seems I made a mistake somewhere in my original calculations. My budget should have come out to about $4.22 trillion, not $6 trillion. My revised budget is :AINERO: 1,474,070,177,954.78.

It's nice to know that Lower Columbians are about 2.25 times as rich as Illu'ans. It's still all good.

Re: National Budgets
176 billion. By taking GDP (13,607 :AINERO:) x population (4,335,230) + export value - import value (118,007,619,680 :AINERO:) = 176,977,094,290 :AINERO:

LOL, that much richer? I'll consider lowering my NationStates GDPpc multiplier so that the wealth gap isn't so extreme. Maybe I'll go back to using the figure listed here as it's written - in dollars instead of coulombs.
Let's see what that gives me... if GDPpc = $41,909, then it's also :AINERO: 13,969.67, which results in a budget of :AINERO: 692,051,726,739.33, or $2.076 trillion. Is that better?

Re: National Budgets
:AINERO: 13,969.67 for Lower Columbia GDPpc
:AINERO: 13,195 for Illu'a GDPpc
It's a lot closer now, so I think it works out fine.
