Most of the venues are located in the Simlympic Park, so you can easily get to all the arenas. The Games will be green, making sure all athletes complete in a healthy environment. When there is no event happening, we suggest you visit the city. It’s full of atractions, so you won’t get bored.

Part 7 : Parasimlympics
We all love the Simlympics, but we forget the magnificent people who, despite all their disabilities, fight for the medals in the Parasimlympics. They will compete in the last three competition days, before the closing ceremony.
We propose the adding of more Parasimlympic sports in the schedule plus a special PAS, based on past results, past hosts, past bids, etc. If Sarnia City wins the hosting rights, this idea will be discussed with the ISC.
Here is a list of Parasimlympic sport and the associated venues :
* Archery : The Archery Stadium
* Athletics : Stadio Metropolitano
* Boccia : Sky Arena
* Cycling : Streets of Sarnia City
* Equestrian : The Equestrian Grounds
* Football : Stadio Metropolitano
* Goalball : The Arch Arena
* Judo : Santini Colliseum
* Powerlifting : The TVT Arena
* Rowing : The Rowing Canal
* Sailing : Tapuo Lake
* Shooting : BMC Place
* Swimming : The Glass Cube
* Table Tennis : The Arch Arena
* Volleyball (sitting) : BMC Place
* Wheelchair basketball : Sky Arena
* Wheelchair fencing : The TVT Arena
* Wheelchair tennis : The Tennis Complex
Part 8.1 : Torch Relay
One of the most important events preparing the actual Simlympics : the Torch Relay ! This time, we want it to do it special. More organised and with more participants. The goal is to get everyone feel the spirit of the Simlympics. Even if the cities aren't extraordinary, we will encourage all the players on SimSports, Simtropolis, SC4D and other SC4 sites to join us in the relay. To avoid conflicts on date selection, the relay will have a special schedule for each region of the world, which also helps on realism. If Sarnia City wins the hosting rights, 10.000 torches will be made for the torch relay.
Part 8.2 : The Medals
The medals were designed by a famous Sarnian artist, Pierre LeMevel, and will be used if our city hosts the Simlympics. You're probably wondering what will they be made of and how much will they be worth. Fortunately, we can answer this question. Take note that all the gold and the silver used for the medals comes from the Sarnian mines.
Gold Medal : 550g Silver, 6g Gold
Value : Unpriceable
Silver Medal : 509g Silver, 41g Copper
Value : Unprieceable
Bronze Medal : 150g Silver, 410g Tin, Copper and Zinc
Value : Unpriceable
Part 9 : Ceremonies
For the first time in Simlympic history, we want to give you live ceremonies. I'm afraid we can't do that with the video, but we might be able to do it with the audio. The idea is to broadcast the ceremony on my online radio, while posting the ceremony progressively at SimSports. That will be really hard, but with the help of the ISC and some volunteers we can do it ! So far it's just an idea, but if Sarnia City wins the hosting rights, it might happen.
Also, for the first time at the Simlympics, the ceremonies will happen on two different stadiums. While, The Simlympic Stadium will be used for the opening ceremony, Stadio Metropolitano will be used for the closing ceremony.
Here is a schedule of the ceremonies :
1st May 2010 - 9 PM - Opening Ceremony
20th May 2010 - 8 PM - Closing Ceremony

Re: Sarnia City Simlympic Bid
There's a lot of detail and stuff, so wait for all the pics to load. I thought posting it here for the members who didn't see it on SimSports. So what do you think, guys ?
Re: Sarnia City Simlympic Bid
It's looking like a strong, thorough bid. Definitely in contention for best AIN bid.
I haven't seen outsider bids though, .
